Well it looks like most if the comments have already been removed by Farm and Fleet on their wall.

Even if they did change their policy back I will never set foot in there again. The cowards.

I just checked and looks like they are still there... maybe my computer has them cached or something?

That said, I won't be surprised if they do pull them.

The only thing I cut them slack on is its a holiday week. If they need to meet as a board to change their policy they should do so next week.

When I spoke to the VP he promised me a call back within 2 weeks, which is fine, corporations move slow and methodical, I will be surprised if they don't come to the right conclusion.

A hair salon on Milwaukee's east side posting a "no carry" sign is not going to hurt their business much.

A store like Farm and Fleet with THEIR customer base that probably very much matches the typical gun owning guys/gals in this state. WTF were they thinking???

Here is a comment from JS Online. What is legal harassment?

natrixgli - Dec 30, 2010 11:44 AM» Report abuse 212

The only people I need to see carrying guns in public are TRAINED POLICE OFFICERS. I will call the police on ANYONE I see carrying a gun who does not have a badge. I will insist that a report is filed, so that I can get the individual's name and address. Then I will engage in a *legal* harassment campaign the likes of which they've never imagined.

Those of us who's intelligence is sufficient that we are able to recognize how unnecessary guns are need to start fighting back against this barbaric madness. We need to create a public gun fanatic registry where we can publish the names, addresses, and phone numbers of gun-wielding morons and engage in campaigns to harass them until they end their childish behavior and re-join modern civilization.

There are a lot of legal ways to make life miserable for these deranged lunatics. Those of us who have evolved beyond the need for a personal arsenal can't just sit back and tolerate such idiocy.

All it would take is to get a handful of these nuts to loose it in public to convince our leaders to do their job and get guns off the streets.

So why aren't they engaging in a "legal" harassment campaign on the criminals who are "illegally" carrying guns now? And if they are so "evolved" why hadn't it sunk in yet that criminals will NOT obey the laws and continue to illegally carry guns? Yes, that was a rhetorical question ;)

And is this promoting a "set-up" or "sting", and a dangerous one at that.

Yep - the best way to fight them is with facts presented in a calm and logical manner. When they quote "research" check on the source - more than likely it will be Joyce Foundation funded. See the Joyce Foundation empire in my signature. Researchers are like attorneys, they represent the interests of their client. (No slam intended to attorneys or reasearchers)

Someone should run a false flag and try and get a meet up in a restaurant or other public place, let her know you are sympathetic to her cause and would like to meet and discuss stratagies , figure out her name and such get some recordings of her making inflammitory statements and ..... then let her know that any instanced of harassment and the police will be informed she would be a good place to start.....

I'm guessing this is a woman. I'll bet dollars to donuts I spend more time at the range in a month than most officers do in a year. Perhaps this crazy woman can move to a country more to her liking, like Australia or UK.

This is a threat

I can't find the case, but it said you can threaten people and not be arrested.

I did some research. His name is Nathan I replied on the JS page to him but got nothing back yet. I asked if he still lived in Cudahy and that some open carry guys would come and walk around so he could call the cops and see what happens. As long as he's not by a school. He uses his goofy name on alot of websites.

Yah, I know. I thought Farm & Fleet would be one of the last stores on earth to make such a policy.

Best Buy respects my rights.
Kohl's respects my rights.
Culver's respects my rights.
Kwik Trip respects my rights.
Wal-Mart respects my rights.
Festival Foods respects my rights.
Menards respects my rights.

This list could get very long, but I would have expected it out of the top two of this list to deny me my rights Loooooooong before Farm & Fleet would.

Heck, evey my Credit Union respects my rights.

Maybe Farm/Fleet should quit encouraging hand gun usage by NOT selling hand gun ammo!

Don't get them started.

I remember the day when Kmart used to sell a lot more firearms and supplies than they do now and my local F&F had a nice rifle display and possibly handguns IIRC.

You guys can boycott all you want but the fact remains that they are within their rights to refuse service to any demographic not protected by law.

I respect their right to exercise their rights, same as me.

Straw man argument. With just a few exceptions, 99% of us freely admit they are WELL within their rights.

If they were operating OUTSIDE of their legal rights we would be talking about legal action NOT boycotting.

And we are well within our rights not to patronize a store that for NO good reason asks us to put ourselves at risk for their counter-effective policy.

As a businessman, I WANT my customers to let me know when I do something they don't like RATHER than just leave.

I WANT my customers to tell me what I can do differently to REGAIN their business.

It is a courtesy to a business to let them know what their customers want.

We are not claiming Farm and Fleet is breaking any law or operating outside of their legal rights.

NO ONE is proposing we go to Madison and lobby for a law that FORCES them to allow right to carry in their store.

This is the free market at work.

They have the right to refuse open carry, I have the right to go elsewhere. What's the problem with that?

I swear sometimes you take the opposite position just for the sake of argument.

Yes, Spartacus would probably be employee'd by the Sumerian's as a Nay-Sayer. They were actually highly sought after and respected individuals in that society.

Oh I understand the position well Nik. And as others in the thread have guessed I sometimes play Devil's advocate in order to stimulate genuine thought and not just parroting policy.

The point remains that its not as though we are asking them to carry Dickies outerwear instead of Carthart. Sometimes the enactment of no-firearm policies run very deeply at the individual and corporate level and no amount of emails or pestering will change that.

I'm not saying accept it, but simply realize that a few hundred or even a few thousand people boycotting F&F will hardly make an impact on their bottom line which must run into millions and possibly billions in annual sales.

My biggest worry is that after seeing some of the best and worst of the OC movement pass through OCDO that the kooks are the ones writing and emailing letters which will hinder rather than help.

Sometimes the best action is inaction. Leave these few anti-gun businesses alone and as OC and CC become more prevalent they may change their minds on their own or with some slight pressure once they see that there is no danger to them. A negative aspect to media attention may be a domino effect where several businesses see what F&F is doing and follow suit.

Believe me, as one who has owned and operated several businesses over my lifetime if any particular minority demographic threatened a boycott regarding a policy that ran near and dear to my heart, my first response would be very negative.
