So now that they posted to make it clear what the policy is to EVERYONE, you will make a big deal about it? We knew they were anti gun months ago.

tha's ok cause we got the time to do something about it NOW!

I just counted the posts on the facebook page...

111 posts by pissed off American's.

1 post by some hippy-dippy liberal.

Nice work! Hopefully that sends a message.

Journal Sentinel has picked up the story.

Regardless of the outcome of Farm and Fleet's decision, this will be a BIG warning to other stores. DON'T start posting signs and putting yourself in the middle of controversy. Allow carry. If someone does something illegal in your store call the police, but respect peoples right to carry lawfully.

As you can tell from the comments on the JS story that it's read by mainly libs. Also it's hard to not respond to people like Judith Detert-Moriarty on Facebook but I don't think arguing with people that hate facts is worth our time.

You won't change her mind or people who think like her.

Truth is someone with a gun could stop a mass-shooter in a pre-school and save 100's of kids lives and the anti-gun people would STILL never admit the value of a sidearm for self-defense.

It is, however, important to post pro-carry comments because lots of pro-gun people who are REALLY skittish about confronting issues like these first hand read those articles. Its important for them to know that there are MANY others who support freedom.

With the upcoming legislation for concealed carry, its important for the non-involved but pro-carry gun owners to realize that they don't need to hide from freedom and they don't need to sneak freedom in the back door in order to have rights. Freedom IS embraced by the majority. Its just time for the majority to speak up.

Pre tea-party, ONLY the activist anti-freedom types took the time to speak up. Change has come.

The comments in the Journal article are decidedly left leaning, mostly due to the fact that only East Side Milwaukee Socialists read the paper anymore.

Anybody heard from Mills Fleet Farm as to what they have decided on for a firearm policy?

Fleet Farm is a totally independent company. There is folklore that the companies were originally related but they are not, never were according to my research.

We have reports that dozens of members carry in Fleet Farm all the time with no problems.

I have not, nor to my knowledge has anyone else contacted them about a policy because it probably isn't a wise idea to make an issue where it is not currently an issue.

Just keep carrying in Fleet Farm as we have been. No problems.

You are correct, Sir.

Two totally different families and businesses, although Wisconsin has a long standing urban legend that Brother Blaine and Mills had a falling out after their parents death and went their separate ways. They are freakishly similar in more than just name which probably is where the rumor comes from. It is nice knowing that I can still get my Fleet Farm and Woodman's shopping done in Men. Falls. BYE BYE Oak Creek.

Yup! Even up until yesterday I thought Blaine and Mills were brothers. Not true though.

Blaine and Mills were the last names of the founders of the separate companies:

Farm and Fleet was founded in 1955 by brothers Claude Blain and Bert Blain, Blain’s
Farm & Fleet stores are specialty discount retailers with 33 locations
throughout Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa.

Also in 1955, Fleet Farm was founded by Stewart C. Mills and his sons, Stewart Mills Jr. and Henry C. MIlls II, opened the first Fleet Wholesale Supply in Marshfield, WI.

The only difference I have noticed between the two when it comes to building sites would be population base. Fleet Farm seems to build in more rural\farming communities were Farm + Fleet builds in larger cities.

Personally I just like mentioning Fleet Farm because I know it gets the Farm + Fleet peoples panties in a knot.

Definitely not the kind that can relate to the "Hardest Working People in America."

Well it looks like most if the comments have already been removed by Farm and Fleet on their wall.

Even if they did change their policy back I will never set foot in there again. The cowards.

I saw that too but they are all back now again. I am guessing one of Facebooks multiple data centers not being updated correctly?
