My understanding is that a manager that is no longer there, put up a sign near the costumer service desk. She had seen open carriers in the store and being from Illinois I think she was supper nervous about it, even when told it was legal. I was told she wanted to put up no gun signs and several employees told her it wasn't a good idea. The sign was put up after I stopped shopping there and a few weeks after a fellow carrier was kicked out of a different Farm and Fleet.........
If the manager was from Illinois, not being exposed to firearms with the no right to carry there, it is understandable why she thought that a no gun policy was common business practice.
Guns are part of the the culture in the areas of Wisconsin where F&F has most of its stores, this is the likely reason for little or no reaction in those stores where we have openly carried.
