Yes, we did. I was looking forwar to meeting you, Outdoorsman 1.

I am more than confident we will meet in the future. If I knew who you were I would have said hello in the Capitol building.

I was kinda hard to miss... as I seemed to be the only one there that kinda looked like an Outdoorsman.

And Jim... Jim, please. Your talents and qualifications are only exceeded by your modesty... As stated here many times... YOU ARE THE MAN.... and as stated more recently by 'The Wise One"... With out you Jim, I would literally not have this permit in my hand. And I will second that statement +1. Outdoorsman1

Thank you my friend for your kind words, but you are mistaken. As a former WI resident and now a UT resident my emails and letters to WI legislators (as a former WI resident) had no weight because I can no longer vote in Wisconsin. (I pay property taxes in WI, but have no vote.) No - it is your actions, those of WI Carry - those of Nik, Paul F, MKEgal, McX, and those of countless other WI CARRY members that deserve the credit and the glory for this momentous event in Wisconsin History.

Having said that, I am proud that my unsubstantial contribution has led to my students receiving their "permission slips" from UT and from WI and I look forward to being able to contribute even more to the training needs of my former neighbors.

#69 here!

That like how *69 is the code to call back whoever just called you? :D

Gonna be interesting to see when those who mailed 'em in on the first day start getting 'em. Theoretically that should've been today or tomorrow.

I waited 48 days for my license here and that was just a county thing.

I have never carried concealed since , go figure, I carry every day.

Has anyone that mailed in the application receive a permit yet? Mine and the wife's left Eau Claire the morning of the 1st. Mailed in separate envelopes.

Those that turned in applications on Tuesday started getting them Wednesday. They recieved 10k applications via USPS on Wednesday and of those processed and approved on Wednesday should be mailed but 10k is alot so it might take a bit to process them all. Then on Thursday they recieved another 30k via the USPS. As more comes in the closer that 45 days they will get.

If they report how many they processed on Thursday, we can get a pretty good idea on what they can process daily. I wouldn't use the Wednesday count because the processors had downtiemwaiting for the fist of the mailed applications to arrive.

Where are the numbers being published? There really shouldn't have been any significant down time on Wednesday as a pile of applications were waiting for them when the post office opened and someone should have been there to get them shortly after.

Good question, the 10,000 number looks like it came out of the DOJ to a reporter and not in any official statement that I can find. The 30,000 number came from a friend of a friend as far as I can tell. I don't think 30k would be unheard of especially if day 1 numbers are accurate.

There might be another surge coming I predict, I've handed out three applications today because they heard that permits are available now while watching the news. I have a feeling the "casual" conceal carry guys will start flooding the DOJ with apps now.

Half of my Facebook page just woke up to it despite my often ignored posts on the subject. Now they are trying to get training requirements taken care of in a big rush. Made sure to rub it in on the guy that bailed on UT class last spring.

Hmmm, I haven't received my permit either even though I was one that turned the application in at the Capitol Tuesday morning.

I sure hope it is in todays mail. I really wanted to car carry up to scout out the woods up by Crandon for deer hunting.
