Plain looking license, but who cares. It's symbolic. Just have it on you!

Mine didn't get returned in the mail today, so here's hoping the one stamp did it.

I took mine tothe Post office yesterday and they weighed it and said that will be $.64.

I guess there isn't much anyone can do with a permit number, the Internets scares me sometimes :uhoh:.
No one posted the back yet so here it is.

Same exact size and thickness as a drivers license. Shiny plastic with the same super thin sticker/laminate over just the front to protect the writing, just no holograms or watermarks.

You are kidding me sheesh. looks cheap. i can not believe it took the that long to design this. no hologram wow. but then a holo would have cost us another 50 on top of this. ah well i guess my contribution of 50 will go a long way since these can no possibly cost more than 1.00 to make hahaha!

I think they are nicer than Michigan's. See page 13 of this document for image. The image on the left I have never seen, as it has a county seal. If you read the description you will see it's a mock up and not accurate. The one on the right is what we have. It's paper and most counties will laminate it for a fee. They are larger than a DL and won't fit in most wallets. Some counties have a machine to create CPLs like a DL, but unlawfully charge more for it. They are poorly designed, but get the job done. http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/michigan.pdf

The card is asinine in the first place. They could have done it more inexpensively. I already carry my HS certificate around in my wallet and my DL; problem solved, why did I have to fill out a form, pay $50 and wait when I have all the proof I need? Even cheaper yet, they could have just passed constitutional carry like we wanted.

It just burns my buns that this magical piece of plastic is all that stands between me and a misdemeanor. I have all the proof they require today, as do many others, but without the magic card I'm arrested.

That's the friggin' government for ya.

The two colleges I attended, the ID was $5. Why can expensive colleges have $5 IDs, but the state can't?

Outdoorsman1, I hope we didn't't fall into a crack in the system. I mailed mine on the first at 6:30 in the morning at the post office that box 7130 is at. It was put in the box and taken to capItol at 7:30. Sent a dd214 and have no criminal record. I have received nothing in the mail yesterday or today and my check hasn't been cashed.

yes, i get it especially after looing at the michigan one. All I really was alluding to was the fact they made such a big deal out of "THE PROCESS and Design" and the amount of time to get it going and... hell my 14 yr old grandchild could have made a better one. that being said I take what i paid for and will be happy. Just hope a LEO does not think i made it myself LOL!!
