I really hate to ask this, but is there really a question about if you have to own the business or not? I know it's all in the way that it's interpreted, but how can anyone think that the place they work isn't their "fixed place of business"?

If an encounter happened it would be found during the investigation, would it not?

OK...

Y'all need to settle down with the chest thumping and the stupidity, mmmkay? Don't make me get out the stupid stick to thwack someone over the head.......

That being said, you folks should pay attention to D'Cruz v. McCraw (Texas CHL case for an 18 year old, James D'Cruz).

Gray there is no chest thumping, it is a discussion if you want to be involved jump in by all means.

Maybe you should stop using that stupid stick to scratch your head.

Thank you for an informative Guide.

Doesn't say you gotta be an owner does it? Unless it specifies, it's up to the reader to make a decision.

I enjoyed reading your guide and appreciate all the work that went into it. It is my opinion that 18 year olds should have all the rights of full citizenship. If they are allowed to vote, marry, and sign legal contracts, they should be able to drink and carry concealed weapons.

Good luck on following Arizona and instituting Constitutional carry.

You left out the part where they also get the right to fight and die for our country, with weapons issued by our Government too.

Thanks for correcting my ommission

Thank you for correcting my ommission. I have seen proposals to allow 18-20 year olds who are on active duty or who have served to be made eligable to obtain permits as a special group.

With a quick reading of .060, it says

clubs organized for the purpose of target shooting

and

clubs organized for the purpose of modern and antique firearm collecting

I am sure OCDO is not organized for those purposes. Last I checked, OCDO was about open carrying a handgun (in a normal holster ) in our daily American lives to exercise a right!

As for actually answering your question, if the club purpose fits 060, then make a decision and go right ahead with a lawyer saved on your contacts of course! Make sure you know what the states definition of club is. Stand the 4th, pledge the 5th, you should be ok. It would be smart to actually contact a lawyer and make sure they will cover your butt if needed, I don't have those smarts so I can't do it.

Thanks ccwinstructor, I felt it would be a very beneficial write up and it would give folks like BigDave something to pick at.

And Trigger Dr, do tell about this problem your computer had, I'm curious!

PM me about it, I'm a computer guy, and I can handle long reads. If you don't want to type it out, PM me and I'll send you my phone number.
