The New Breed of LEO's

In my few negative experiences with LEOs while OCing it has been what I would consider older generation LEOs that were the ones pushing the envelope on my rights the most.

Any encounters I've had with LEOs under age 40 have all been very positive, even back in California the ones that were younger, if any interaction, would just ask verbally if the gun was unloaded. It was always the older ones who went through with the full act of un-holstering my safely holstered firearm, pointing it at everyone and everything around them while trying to figure out how to inspect it's state.

Scottish Fair harassment/illegal search/assault was by a gray hair guy.

Old guy (same guy harassed us more than twice):

I will admit that there has been one experience that was negative involving a younger LEO (technically border patrol, though it occurred at least 100 miles from any border) and was not related to guns at all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tle12xoY2A

and in the Virginia Open carry forum, we care about this video and e-check system why?

Interesting that the post was jumped all over for having 2 of the 4 stories that are extremely related to the original post topic being "new breed of leos" just because they occurred in CA. I can't stand CA as much as the next guy but why no mention of the last video in that post that was in Texas if we are applying the "only in VA" policy? The very first link in that post was an event that happened in Fauquier county, FYI.

As a current Virginia resident he was drawing from his experiences to make the point that officers can be polite and effective or not wherever they are found. The officer's conduct was the point, not the e-check system. Excepting for the palm trees, that could have been the City of Richmond. I enjoyed them and was able to relate to happenings here.

Glad someone was able to appreciate the relation these real-world, documented, experiences have to the original topic and question.

Frankly I don't recall and would like to know what eggshells I damaged with a posting on this thread. A PM is fine.

Whenever I notice my replies have been edited or deleted, I try to take the time to go back and simply remove everything I have said in the discussion thread.

This will probably be edited or deleted before you ever see it.

But relax, this is the hardest forum on the Internet to get banned on. I have been trying for weeks now!
