Okay, so it's not a mainstream nor a recognizable source. I'm still skeptical; most situations like this have same day coverage from MANY sources of good repute. Call me doubting Thomas; I'm waiting for something I can put my finger on.

This. Though I was being skeptical (and I still am somewhat...thats only one source) I will man up and apologize if I was being a bit ass-ish. You have to understand though, unless there is an article posted FIRSTHAND with the breaking news story, it still is going to be taken as a grain of salt without any evidence.

* Maybe I read the site information wrong. It was not deliberate. I just saw an icon that had the right date and approx time and figured it must be the incident. Guess I was wrong. Just looking for some validation about this. I can't believe that something so huge and emotionally distressing on me and my family is going unreported! Usually you have to beat the media off with a stick and now no one will report on this. It is really weird to me. And most of you think I am just making it up, which just gets me even more frustrated with the whole thing!

If this is so "distressing" to you and your family, why don't you go to the media, newspapers, tv, radio, etc, instead of creating a lot of doubt here?

Yes from what I can tell the PATCH is ran by basically one person. And it is a mediocre at best news outlet that accepts stories from the public, and partners with things like realestate agents and whatnot to advertise.

***HOWEVER, I saw that GOGO posted on another forum confirmation from an officer that is named and confirmation from the medical examinerl. I trust him more than a article in the Patch.*** Quoted from this article after second reading.

Here's the response I got from the Bellevue Patch editor regarding the information she obtained:

"The Bellevue Police Department and I have exchanged emails on this (that's how she responded to a vm that I left her), and I also called the King County Medical Examiner. There was no press release. -venice"

Still nothing anywhere else though.. Anyone getting anywhere with the FOIA's? I'm not necessarily saying anyone is wrong, I just would like some more evidence other than brand new accounts saying it happened and a liberal/socialist news outlet reporting it (but not giving any other information other than "Yes, I talked to the PD and ME and they said it happened").

Well Venice is a socialist, but she's not new to journalism, she's written for a couple of newspapers before and used to write for the Dailey (university of Washington paper) I don't nessecarily see a reason to doubt it.

* I believe that there is now complete credibility about this story. No, it's not the Washington Post that corroberated the story, but the article sites that the Bellevue PD acknowledged the suicide, and that the Medical Examiner backed up the story. I can't tell you why the larger media sources chose to supress this story. The WCA does play host to most of the law enforcement community in this area, and who knows who else they influence. Obviously, there were some influences at play somewhere that tried to kill this story. Thank GOD this small publication decided to run the story, and I believe that is enough proof for reasonable persons to believe I was not BS'ing about it happening.

Just emailed Bellevue PD for info myself.. Hopefully will get at least official confirmation or denial from them finally.

* I was an eye-witness and just tried to tell you people the real truth. You people are so dependent upon mainstream media it is ridiculous. I'm not sure what it would take for any of you to believe. And now....I'm not really sure why it is so important to me to care. Guess I just wanted a sort of closure or confirmation of the traumatic event we went through, but this has not been very cathartic for me like I thought. This is the same mainstream media that is a constant thorn in gun advocate's sides and always siding with Liberals, and now you need them to run a story to believe it, even though it has been confirmed with the PD & ME.

I have not gotten a response back to my FOIA request, however I expect at least a 24 hour wait period before even receiving a ACK back.

Uh, nope. Your links show information from 2011..... 2 years ago.

I did a search, nothing. Checked the Obits, nothing. I will see if a funeral director friend can check out any gun shot deaths as well....

If this had a 911 call then the media would be all over it. And all gun shot victims would also be picked up by the media as well!

I have suspicions to the accuracy of this information and at this point doubt it happened.
