Perhaps after this incident the pub owner will be investing in some "NO FIREARMS ALLOWED" signs to hang in the front windows, amazing how all this couldve been prevented with a simply sign.

Darien, Ill. - A woman and two men were found fatally shot inside their house after an apparent home invasion in west suburban Darien Tuesday morning.

Police said the attacker was not in custody as of 6:45 a.m.

At 2:59 a.m. police received a call from a person inside the house who was hiding upstairs and who told police they heard a suspicious noise or shots fired in the home in the Tara Hill subdivision in the 8900 block of Kilkenny Drive, according to Darien Deputy Police Chief John Cooper.

Police found one woman and two men fatally shot in the house, where they all lived, according to Cooper.

The incident was an apparent home invasion according to Cooper who said no one -- including the person who called police -- witnessed the attack although there were others inside the house, he said.

No children were there and none of the victims were taken to hospitals, Cooper said.

At 6:45 a.m Cooper said the assailant or assailants were on the loose.
“Yes, there is somebody out there,’’ according to Cooper who said they did not, however, consider it a public safety issue and schools or homes in the area were not evacuated.

“We are trying to figure out who we are looking for,’’ Cooper said. “It wasn't a random thing. It was a targeted thing,’’ according to the deputy chief who said he did not know immediately if anything was taken from the home.

Cooper said police were interviewing the people who were inside the house at the time of the attack.
Traffic in the area was not affected, according to Cooper, who said the Kilkenny Drive address is just north of I-55 and east of Lemont Road.

“It’s not near any main roads. There is no problem for commuters,’’ he said.

The DuPage County Coroner was notified, the deputy chief said. A spokesperson for the coroner’s office was not immediately available.

Double Murder Case

Man accused of shooting ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend MILWAUKEE-- A Milwaukee man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend will stand trial. A judge ruled yesterday that there's enough evidence for 28-year old Jonah Agnew to stand trial on two counts of intentional homicide.
Court documents say he admitted to police that he caught the two victims in bed and fired at least two separate handguns. 28-year old Sherri Jackson was hit thirteen times. 25-year old Mario Brown was hit a twelve times.

RACINE - Five teens were arrested by Racine police Tuesday in two separate robberies incidents that involved guns.

The first robbery occurred at 5:40 p.m. in the 1100 block of Grand Avenue, according to police. Three teens, ages 15, 15 and 14, allegedly approached a 45-year-old man who was riding his bike.

The 14-year-old reportedly pulled out a chrome semi-automatic gun and pointed it at the man. Police said he told the man he would shoot him and steal his bike.

The victim rode away on his bike and called police.

Officers responding to the area found the three teens. Two were caught at Walden School, 1012 Center St., which is where police say they tried to drop two handguns.

Police recovered the chrome handgun and a black handgun.

The teens were taken into custody and held at the Racine County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of attempted armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a minor, aiming and pointing, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm in a school zone and obstructing.

The second incident occurred at 8:47 p.m. near Charles Street and Walton Avenue, according to police.

Reports said two teens, ages 17 and 15, attacked another 17-year-old boy and robbed him at gunpoint.

The victim told police he was walking north on Charles Street when he saw the two suspects walking behind him. The teen was on the phone when one of the suspects tackled him from behind. He told police that as he got up, the second suspect pointed a black handgun at him.

The suspects demanded the victim empty his pockets. They allegedly took his debit card, cell phone, bus pass, a cigarette lighter and his ID.

A witness to the robbery called police. Officers found the teens at High and St. Clair streets and recovered a black pellet gun.

The brothers were arrested and brought to the detention center on charges of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a facsimile firearm.

They must have gone the local gun shops, filled out the 4473, and passed the background checks...

EXCELSIOR, Minn.- Police say a convenience store clerk in Excelsior turned the tables on two would-be robbers.
Authorities say the clerk pulled out a gun and shot one of the two men at the Lakeshore Market on Highway 7 about 11 p.m. Thursday. Police say the men were wearing masks and were armed. Both men fled, but police caught up with the onewho had been shot.
WCCO-TV reports the man who was shot was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he underwent surgery. Authorities are still searching for the other robbery suspect.

Whenever the subject of carry of firearms for personal protection comes up it seems to instantly spawn an exclamation from the anti-gun groups, some politicians and the media that we will return to the old west shoot-em-up days as depicted in "B" Westerns. It also manifests a cry of "citizens don't need guns for protection" the cops are there to handle that task. Whenever I hear those accusations I am reminded of my wife's school days. She may not want me to express the years but they were 5 to 6 decades ago.Her family lived in a rural community in Central Minnesota. Each day she and heryounger sister would walk a mile to and from school. All by themselves, along a rural isolated road. Today that would be unspeakable. Those days their only worry was farm dogs. At that time law enforcement per capita was very low. In case of trouble law enforcement helpwas, many times, hours away. Most law enforcementduties were to provide various public assistance. It was rare they had the excitement of a robbery or shooting. On a national average crime and homicides were very low. Yet the anti gun factions would like us to believe that we now live in comfortable times. To allow private citizensto runaround carrying guns will retract us to times of blood and mayhem. They needa wake up call. The times of crime and mayhem are now. Even with a thousand fold increase in law enforcement and untold new statutes and gun control laws, crime and murder is at epidemic levels. That's why I carry a gun.

My brother had his bedside .22 magnum revolver stolen, amongst other things, during a burglary of his home a couple years ago. Most of the stuff was fenced by the time police caught up the perps. I think they had about 13 different burglaries that they were able to connect them with, several included stolen firearms. Incidentally that particular thief carried that revolver uncased(probably concealed) in his vehicle through a school zone as he exited the dead end street my brother lives on, none of those charges filed.

we was 'MIGged today; sitting around the shop, quiet. 5 or 6 young locals walk in, start spreading out in the building. i go up to the aparent leader, and ask him if i can help him, as his buddies, seeing me, start to move toward us. he gets a gander at the gun on my hip, asks about something we don't offer, gets real shifty, and him and his buddies leave. my imagination? maybe. MIGged- yep i think so.

*definition of MIGged- we use it for a slang term for where an enemy aircraft enters your air space, flies on the edge, checking out your layout, strengths, and then beats butt out of there. replace the planes with people for a definition that applies to us.

This is ALL TOO COMMON!

The criminals AREN'T charged with a GFSZ violation, and I'd like to know why also.

The one time this happened to me in my Standard Oil Station, two guys diverted my attention while a third got into my tool box; but I wasn't in the inner city. If I were you, I'd find out from the accountant right away if I could put a vest under business expense, and start carrying an extra mag. Either that or put in a doorbell and lock the place up while you're there. Just sayin'....
