I had a great time. Im glad I could meet you all. I hope you guys don't think Im full of BS, Im just a young guy and I don't know my way around as much yet
Anyway, Saturday was awesome on the pistol range, but the rifle side was a little disappointing for me. Unfortunately a bunch of my Lake City brass was steel cored and I had to stop shooting. I'd really like to let everyone burn up the .223 stuff, because shooting it is fun. The bad part is cleaning them :banghead:
Luckily, a friend of mine that does reloading and works at DAFB went shooting down in bridgeville on Sunday. So I got to go down there and make up time. I shot my M4, Glock 19, and Kimber 1911 at the 25 and 50 yard range, and then my M4 at 100 yards. Everything looked really good at the 50 yard range, I even hit 6/8 with my 1911 at 50 yards! Moved over to the 25 yard range and I couldnt get a group smaller than my palm for the love of the Easter Bunny.:cuss:I even ran through a qualification course for myself and shot 28/40. Not good.
At the 100 yard range I could hit with the scoped weapons that he brought. One guy was even down there with an m16 with a 18x scope and a 20" barrel and I was shooting quarters at 100 yards. With my iron sights at 100 range I couldnt even find the paper. I still shot about 50 rounds and decided to give it a rest as I had double vision from staring down the tiny reticle for about an hour.
Bridgeville is an awesome range and Id love for you guys to come down some time for a day trip/BBQ thing this spring/summer. They have Pistol Pits all the way up to a 1000 yard range they are building.
And now I know a lot of you guys do reloading. Ill save my .223 Lake City Brass and anything else you guys want. I buy bulkoff cheaperthandirt.com and the brass is pretty good. Just let me know.
