I found a great place to buy guns at Pauls Gunsmith Service in Camden, DE he charges 10% above his price so ordered a snake slayer from Bondarms which shooters choice wants $599.00 and they giving meit for $330.00 now thats a deal. So what ever you see in there dealer book jus add 10% and there a full gunsmith shop ther fixing my .38 call derringer with new fireing pins and all new springs.

For Sat. Ill have my 1911, Glock 19, Bushmaster M4 and I might bring my S&W .357

Looks like I'm bringing the whole family to this one. My dad is coming from ohio to see me off to afghanistan and my wife wants to go. My dad even says he'll shoot, and he hasent shot in 22 years!! Back to the basics I guess. He kept a little .22 around for defense before I was born. He got rid of it cuz he was afraid I would get ahold of it eventually. AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!!! :celebrate:lol:

Just so everyone has a basic understanding of what's going to happen at the range -- especially for the folks whom have never been...

Ommelanden is primarily a Hunter Education facility, as such, they have a few rules that might different from different ranges you've been to.

1) When you enter the facility, drive ALL the way to the very back -- the last building on the right is where you pay for your range time. It's $5 for the hour -- they'll only sell you an hour at a time.

2) Bring your own eyes -- they give free foam ear plugs at the cashier and sell paper targets fairly cheap (like $3.00 for 50).

3) HOLD YOUR RECEIPT and drive back up to the facility -- the range will be on your left coming from the cashier.

4) Bring in all weapons you plan to shoot unloaded and cased. If you OC, they will have you either leave your weapon outside of the range, bring it in unloaded with the slide locked back or, if you have a CCDW, concealed is concealed. :)

5) Give you receipt to the range officer and sign in -- they'll ask what caliber you're shooting and tell you to go to the pistol side if you're shooting pistol or to stay on the rifle side if you're shooting rifle to start.

6) Handguns: You may only load a maximum of 10 rounds per magazine.

7) You may not use human sillouette targets or recognition targets. Your standard bullseye/reactive targets are going to be your best option.

8) Your speed is limited to ONE SHOT PER SECOND. No automatic fire is permitted. If you break this rule, they'll berate you, kick you out and ban you.

9) You may not present from the holster.

10) As always, let's be mindful of the general rules of firearms safety and be extra-conscious about muzzle control and trigger control.

Several of us are here very often, so lets do our best to have a fun safe time and make sure we're welcome back in the future.

They only sell by the hour now? I thought you could buy it by the half hour. Not that it makes much difference.
Oh yeah, $2.50 for the half hour -- we'll be there for a full hour, which is the maximum they'll sell you at a time. So, if you show up 30 minutes late, only get the half-hour. :)

Do we have an accurate head count for this one? I really hope "outsiders" don't show up, because it sounds like we'll need the whole place for our "meeting." They have a limited number of lanes there, and they don't reserve the place out.

And I pity the waitress at IHOP (assuming we go there again). She'll be like :what:

Don't think so... the range will be just fun stuff -- IHOP will be more condusive to conversation. I think I'm going to pick up some "Hello, My Name Is" tags for us this time around.

i really hope i can get outta bed on time on saturday morning for this. haha. i guess i could make up for it on sunday morning.

This would be my first OC experience. Still unconfortable with the idea of a loaded gun in car without CCDW. I guess its legal.

Ommelanden won't allow eggs, or anything else to shoot at, other than paper bull's-eye targets. They don't even like "people" targets (as much as I'd like to make one w/ my Ex on it. LOL). Bunch of party-poopers. But I understand they just don't want the mess, or potential legal issues w/ shooting stuff like bowling pins, steel spinners, etc. You need a true outdoor range for that stuff.

I think I'll definitely bring my Savage for some AQT shooting. Anyone else want to try someAQT targets? Or maybe you need some bull's-eyes? Check out my website and download some pdf targets HERE. You can print themonto letter sized paper from any printer.

I wonder if they allow 7.62x54r shooting there? Or would that be too "big" for their backstops? Perhaps I'll bring the 91/30, too.

I can also bring my Ithaca 37 if anyone wants to take her out to the clays range.

This past Saturday, I used your target that had the different sized circles on for bullseye shooting... did pretty well with it, too!

I could see me bringing those back and my kids seeing the holey targets, "DADDY! What did you do to the Easter Bunny?!!"
