Hello everyone I am now officially back and once again living in Kitsap County I got back from Michigan two weeks ago and I am finally starting to get back into a normal routine. I was happy to see this thread survive the almost six months I was gone and that people seemed to be getting some use out of it. Now that I am back in Kitsap county I hope to see everyone soon or maybe even better I hope to bump into everyone out in the real world while we are open carrying. Today was a fun day at Starbucks in Poulsbo. I bumped into a lot of old family friends, old fire commissioners and I even got to hi to our own antispam. I guess that is it for today I just wanted to say hello to everyone and announce that I am my trusty XD are back and ready to pick up where we left off

well how about you come to our third saturday open carry meet at noon next week?

I had a pretty good open carry day today in Silverdale. I started out with a nice long walk through the Clear Creek trail. There where lots of people out jogging and walking their dogs. Most people past me on my strong side ad no one seemed to notice. From there I went into Charlie Boots and got a new George Strait shirt. I was saw one other person open carrying in whole sale sports shopping for holsters, and I finished up with a trip the the Starbucks in Poulsbo across from Walmart. All and all it was a very good open carry day. It was hard not to laugh today during my walk in Clear Creek. I was meeting a new girl there who accompanied me on my walk and we used the time to get to know each other. A nice enough girl but I do not see any long term romantic relationship with her as we do not have much in common. Keeping in mind she spent over a hour with me today talking and asking me questions at one point I asked her point blank (slight pun intended) if she was a gun person and she replied no with scrunched up face. I do not think she noticed my gun the entire time we where together including when I walked her back to her car and opened the door for her. It always amazes me how many people specifically the ones who seem so opinionated against them never notice what is right out in the open. I also do plan on meeting up with everyone next week in Port Orchard. I hope to see you all soon

So it appears there will be a new gun store in Port Orchard at the smaller strip mall building on the east side of the parking lot. They already have a GUNS banner above the entrance and some workmen inside the building told me they're going to open "next month"

Got some cupcakes at the Piccadilly, the owner is a British expat from London, don't know if Anyone has oc'd there yet

I find this interesting as Freddy's will be going through a major change in the very near future. Included in that change is a gun counter. That could have some impact on both venues.

I visited the one there in Bremerton while my tires were being rotated at Discount Tires, about a week ago, and they have a gun counter with handguns in the display case.

I was also recently in the Fred Myer in Bremerton and noticed the new gun counter over near the outside garden area. They had a small stock of guns but most of the shelves where empty recently sold out according to the guy behind the counter. I has a nice talk with the gun salesman for a few minutes on the current shortage on ammo and he seemed like a overall decent guy. They had some select ammo but nothing I could use aka no 40 S&W, 22LR or 223. I was surprised to see a gun counter in Fred Myer and hope it is a change of the times and people are getting over the scary carry factor

Good to hear that Fred Meyer is adding a gun counter, also REALLY good to hear that Port Orchard is adding a gun store. FINALLY.

Tired of driving to Silverdale or Tacoma for gun stores. Borner is cool but I like options.

Hey Bat!

You and the guy you were with in February in Olympia made it on TV.

I was watching CNBCs program "AR-15: The rise of America's gun" and the picture that the AP reporter took of (i'm so sorry I forgot his name) of your friend with the AR standing next to you wearing your Vaquero inside the Olympia rotunda made it on the program as a brief still as someone was complaining about "fringe gun owners and their assault weapons walking into state capitols"

Edit, Patrick! You and Patrick

Wally World

After doing a little shopping at wally world I was just getting ready to back out of my park space and I look in the rear view and I saw some guy with A shiny wheel gun behind me .So I shut it off asked him what he was carrying told him he was not alone turned my right side toward him so he could see my holstered S&W. Introduced myself and told him about OC.org and our coffee meets downtown maybe we will get another supporter of our cause.:banana::lol:

I noticed the new gun business. I wonder how that will effect my business. As I'm limited to gunsmithing and transfers, it's the transfers that keep the roof over my head. If the new gun business competes with me too much it could put me out of business.
