From what I can tell, most of us will be coming from church. Hopefully we all have a similar idea of respectable dress... I might even shave for the event ;)

that was my plan, i think thats a sound idea.

if you dont have such attire (or even a blank tee or something) let us know what size and im sure someone can help accomodate - if your small / medium i would be happy to help

i know i may have to run into cabelas if i dont get a chance to go earlier in the week

thanks indianaboy for the ride, much appreciated

keep in mind, we will also need to dress for the weather, so bringing layers may not be a bad idea (sorry i sound like a mother, just being observant)

I will most likely be wearing either black BDU pants or jeans with a sweater and my blackhawk tactical vest. I would say no extreme dress but be prepared to be in cold/muddy conditions.

So now this has turned into a fashion thread.

"Who is going to come the best dressed and still Tacticool?"

:lol::lol:

I'm going to show up in my Brooks Brothers Suit - black cause all cool guys wear black.

Oakley assault boots - black cause thats what cool guys where.

Kevlar Cowboy hat - Black cause its cool. Includes NVD mount by Larue Tactical.

Ostrich skin holster for my 5K valued 1911. (Oh its black - with a black light on it to see at night.)

Also bringing my Armani Chest rig for my AR-15 - All black naturally.

Do I need to go into depth about the AR-15 and all the accessories on it - in black.

now now, im sure if he meant it as a dirty word, it would have looked something like M#TR@ haha

well since everybody who is cool is lettin people know what they are wearing, ima wear a really boring almost black polo (i guess im just kinda cool) and tan carrharts... and i have a flannel hoodie that makes me look like an urban lumberjack

i dont have cool boots... only stupid ones, cause i bought them at like 4 AM one morning so my judgement was clouded, maybe new boots are in order

perhaps i will string rounds across my chest... that would be cool :celebrate

we have to dress respectably? dang, so i guess my cowboy hat and boots with a cowboy up t-shirt are out? you guys are buzz kills:p

aright, i can prolly come up with something. I'm deffinately gonna be there. I'll have to get one of my friends to buy me some pistol ammo so I can shoot my POS davis ind. .380. It sucks not being 21 yet, i can't buy my ammo. this summer is gonna be nice. anything anyone else needs someone to pick up for them? I'm gonna buy some bulk foam earplugs, cheap ones, just in case someone forgets theirs or they get lost. if there is anything else that you guys can think of having backups for just let me know and i'll pick some up.

Siver, Cabelas doesn't care if your 21 to buy pistol ammo. At least they haven't when I've bought it there. OC and purchase, doubt the will ask for ID. If that doesn't work, Sunday will work just fine as there will be plenty of people there older than 21.

See you all on Sunday. (Maybe I wont though with all this black clothing...)

Just a heads up on your ammo buying. When they ask if it is for a handgun or a rifle, just tell them a rifle. There are more than enough rifles out there that use handgun cartridges these days. Always worked for me when I was under 21! Not that I am saying do anything illegal... I am sure you have a rifle that uses pistol ammo. :D

If you don't carry some emergency water in your car, you should be ashamed. I always have 2 gallons of drinking water in my vehicle. Plus will usually have 2 1 liter Nalgene bottles with me for normal drinking.

If somebody wants to bring more to drink, I'm thinking a thermos with something warm would be good - coffee! I'm partial to BLACK COFFEE!

Should we nominate someone for "What Not To Wear" or something? Just remember that your leather holster needs to match your leather belt and shoes -- one must NEVER clash.

For the moment the only handgun I own is my Ruger Sp101. Unfortunately, my holster from Milt Sparks won't be ready for awhile...until then I use a crappy Uncle Mike's holster for OC. I do have a better concealed holster.

im sure if i had a car, i would have those emergency water gallons handy - and yes, most likely 4WD, prolly the same almost black / almost cool color as my shirt i would wear (i wouldnt wanna cramp your style there bourne)

if i had a thermos, it would already be full of coffee haha
perhaps i will get one, warm drink is a good idea, if i do, ill try to get a larger sized one so the masses may partake... as much as i hate it, perhaps some instant coffee and tea, with a thermos of hot water (for those who dislike coffee)

ive collected a few cardboard boxes from work to bring along to serve what ever purposes we may need them for (ie target mounting, cover for scenario-style setups) most as of now are medium sized, but i will try to get some 4-5' tall ones if i can

If I get over my cold before the day arrives, and if it ain't too cold I might wear my Camo Utili-kilt with waffle stompers, the Ladies always love those!

And if you got the balls to ask what I wear underneath, you won't like my answer when I say your ladies lipstick :)

Guys, a word from the wise (Not that I am claiming to be wise, but...)

BRING SOME 7.62x39 AMMO with you. This is the common ammo for the AK-47 weapon. Trust me you will enjoy!

See you all in two days.

Suggesstion for the dinner location. PIZZA or BURGERS.

Glad to see we're going to have quite a group this weekend! Guess I'll be one of the only ones wearing somthing without the word "tactical" in it....oh well.

As far as food goes, eat before you come as we'll be there for awhile, but we still haven't decided on where to eat afterwards. I figure we'll come to a concensus when we meet.

Remember, 1pm, Cabella's. If anyone wants my phone number in case they get lost or are going to be late, PM me. We'll hang around Cabella's for a bit but do try to be on time. Caravan probably is leaving the parking lot at 1:30.
