I don't think we care if it's confirmed OC friendly or not. I don't tend to plan my day around places to "test", I just do my normal thing. Pizza is always good with me.

Flying Pie sounds great. Can anyone suggest a good place to meet up before the shoot? I know the area fairly well, i just don't know where it is we are going.

as far as ammunitions go, i picked up some 38 SP and .357 mag, and can most likely pick up another kind, what will be the most commonly used round there? i thought prolly 45ACP, but lemme know if there would be a better kind to get, ill prolly go friday or saturday and pick up more

possibly for a meeting place, we could meet at cabelas or another store we are all familiar with (which would also help in the event that we need to pick something up last second) or somewhere near the airport (as it sounds that the direction we will be going)

It has been my experience that most of the pizza joints are pretty OC neutral. I have also OCed at Applebees and Red Robin multiple times without any adverse reactions. The only restaurant/bar that has asked me to remove my firearm has been Legends Pub and Grill located next to Edwards 21 Cinemas.

I wanna bring my g/f along, but she don't want to be the only female there.

I see no reason why this should be a guy only event. It is for anyone who is interested in OC or in just increasing their firearm knowledge. I have one or two girls who are considering coming with me

The only reason I chose to date my GF was because I had the opportunity to take her shooting and she liked it. If she hadn't, I would have never considered dating her.

So if Girls want to come, thats good. If there is enough girls/females wanting to come, I can try to get my GF to come. Maybe we can get Corsair's brothers wife to come as well... (Hint to Corsair....);)

My bride-to-be will be interested in coming as well, just not this time around. She's interested, however and will make a shooting/eating time real soon.

:celebrate

Ok so we need to narrow this down here.

When: are we still thinking 1 PM?

Meeting place: I don't know if we decided on where we are meeting yet

Things to bring: Guns, ammo, targets, ear protection, water, shooting mats, money for dinner afterwards, etc

Who's invited: Anyone who enjoys guns and shooting, who is responsible with safety and who is active or at least positive to the practice of Open Carrying

Dinner location after: Pizza was suggested and seemed to meet with a pretty positive reaction. Anyone have another suggestion or should we start picking a pizza place?

Finally...

Location for shooting: I think we have pretty well established going out past Gowen Field and the prisons is the best place to shoot. The question is, does everyone know how to get there?

It seems to me we just need to set it in stone. So, unless there are objections:

1pm

Meeting at Cabela's on Franklin (good for last minute supplies and it puts us on south side of town. And no, not everyone knows how to get where we are shooting, so its great for us to meet first and caravan out there.

Pizza afterwards: One of U will have to pick the place but for all I care we can do that while shooting.

Instead of getting a whole bunch of ammo for calibers and guns I am unfamiliar with, I plan to bring extra ammo for my own gun so anyone is welcome give it a shot. Try to do the same if you can...

Se you all at Cabelas in Boise at 1300 hrs.

Look for the Brown TAV with the RON PAUL stickers on the side - I'll park closer to the road than the front of Cabelas.

Or look for a bunch of guys with guns!

(Couldn't help myself!)

Looking forward to meeting u Saint, I hope your flight comes in ok. Sage and Blackfox, we'll be picking you up. For anyone else, if you need transportation, ask now and we'll try to accommodate you. I'm thinking we won't get done at Cabella's till round 1:30 or a little after since I'm sure some of us will need last minute supplies. If someone wants my phone number in case they might be late/get lost/ etc, PM me and I'd be glad to give it to you.

I'm also curious as to how many confirmed ppl we have coming just so we can keep an eye out for everyone at Cabella's. I got 3 in my car. Who else is coming for sure?

I strongly suggest that we all dress respectably... if you normally dress gothic or some other not-so-common attire, while I respect you descision to do so, this dinner/meal is about winning public opinion, so let's all at least have reasonable pants and maybe a polo or button up on. What do you all think? Sound reasonable?
