You were doing fine until you got to the part about, "...just like the rest of us."

:)
EDIT you're right about that. Lots of us DON'T do stuff like that to get ahead in life. Same with a lot of cops.

Um, maybe... then again maybe not. If a good cop does not turn in a bad cop for doing something illegal or immoral, is that good cop still a good cop ? If he is then you are right about the majority. If he is no longer a good cop, then statistically there are VERY few good cops.

I can truly appreciate what "Sheriff" is saying about all of this. From my own personal experience, there is A LOT of institutionalized lying and cheating and so forth going on. Too much for there to be a majority of "good cops". More like a majority of cops that are scared to turn in the bad ones for fear of reprisal or criminal/civil action(s).... (or some other nasty business).

On the other hand I can fully appreciate the truly good cops. But sadly they are a minority.

+1 But, please can we not go there this evening. Or, if you all just have to, please be sure to keep away from cop bashing by not making generalizations.

Sure thing.... but not to belabor the point; I was joining in on a bunch of other "generalizations".

I've got to hand it to you, Sheriff. Your statements,follow-ups, and clarifications seem to hang together better than another LEO on this forum.

That is not to say I've examined everything you've written, but what I have read hangs together a lot better than that other LEO. Much of the time, his first clarification already is misaligned or contradicted by something in his earlier post.

Which just brought something to mind for me. None of the other LEOs have so much trouble keeping their follow up stuff aligned with their earlier post. Hmmmmmm. Wonder why this one LEO has this problem? (rhetorical question)
LEO proves one thing I have always preached. Namely, a cop's worst enemy is another cop. Cops will do anything to make themselves look good, even if it means making others looking bad. You should see the foolishness that takes place when there's a few promotional opportunities within a police department or sheriff's department.
Sheriff, you retired? Cause if not I'd like to see you run against Simpson up here in Loudoun county.

Despite what 229 may preach; not "all of us" hate LEOs. Given your posts and your opinions. . .I respect the crap out of you and your kind of blue. Need more like ya son.

Thank you for the kind words. But, I'm too old to pack up and move.

You can't possibly imagine what it's like to be falsely arrested by your so called "brothers", and watch them commit perjury against you in court once they exercise damage control in the mistakes they have made. The judges weren't impressed with them either. On two occasions judges called them the liars they are, once while still on record in open court as he admonished them publicly, and once in chambers. It will be a cold day in hades before you'll see me ever tell white lies and violate people's rightsjust to obtain a conviction after I make a mistake. Watching these idiotstaught me an enntire new respect for citizens and taxpayers, and even suspects for that matter.

If you missed it somehow, I still have $4 million dollar lawsuits pending against 3 cops. One just settled recently. Lawsuits against 2 cops settled a while back. And I already have judgements against 2 individuals. I'm taking them all down for their wrongful actions, one by one.

Sheriff: First off, let me thank you for your long, faithful and dedicatedservice to our country. We need a LOT more like you. I'm sorry to hear about your legal problems during your career. Icame acrossa few "rocks and shoals" during my career, but they pale in comparison to your own troubles. God Bless you for your perseverence! Why didn't the judge find them in contempt? From what you said about the judge and his words for the scumbags with badges, I would think they would be behind bars for what they tried to do...

I haven't been around very long, so I don't know much about anything. (I don't know nuthin about nuthin!) Sorry if I've beaten this dead horse once too many times or asked something insensitive. Just tell me to STFU and I'll comply.

Well, say tuned, the tale will change shortly. :D

I think we are about to add 2 more to the lists of "settled out of court".

Well, best way to answer this is..... all the local judges obviously knew me and had known me for quite a few years. I had actually worked for all of them on many occasions. There's no doubt in my mind that each and every judge knew I was wrongly accused, and some probably knew the politics behind all of it.

So, having said the above..... in all but one case, we had to have substitute judges brought in to hear the foolishness. Judges who didn't know me or the cops involved in placing the charges. I can only imagine these substitute judgesdidn't want to raise too much stink during their brief visits to town.

The fact that all of these judges believed me over 12+ cops speaks to my character and integrity.

Back when I was a young rookie, I thought people were too stupid to follow along too. In 15 or 20 years, you will be able to look back and figure out the answer to the question you ask.

In the meantime, ask yourself, how many people felt you weren't making reference to SHERIFF?

Is it me, or is 229 justaputz that just wanders from post to post causing trouble? I'm new here, so I don't know very many folks. Why does it seem he's always stirring up chit?

Otherwise, yes, you nailed it.

You are correct... I stir chit up.

I say the things other people are scared to say. I am not one to "go with the flow" and play it safe. I raise questions and provide alternate points of view.

So yes, in every thread.... I am going to piss someone off simply because they do not like what is being said. How dare I question something!!! This is due to their own ignorance, bias, or lack of understanding.

Please show me where I started trouble other than asking a question.
