Actually, I am curious. 3000 posts in a year. Not a lick of pro-OC comment that I can see. Why are you here?
I'm impressed. You read all 3000 posts? That's some dedication right there.

If you like I'll send a formal response to your inbox with resume and thesis as to why I'm here. Hopefully it'll meet your approval. :D

An apologist trying to balance rampant bias.

You're charitable.

He's not trying to balance bias. Regardless of any potential bias (and yes there is some on all parts), we're right, and he's wrong (99% of the time). He is just here to be an *

I'm partially here for the amusement you provide. Well at least that's why I even bother even engaging you in dialog.

I did try to steer the discussion several times back to relevant material. You'll have none of it. I'm ok with that since I find it/you amusing.

Typical redirect and sarcasm.

I did what all production companies do: statistical sampling. I skimmed several pages of your posts, and saw no pro-OC comment.

So, you still did not answer my honest question. Resident cop cheerleader must get old when you don't support the board's core philosophy.

An apologist trying to balance rampant bias but inciting further bias.

I'm here to discuss gun stuff. I do happen to actually open carry and do more so now then ever in fact. Thanks to this forum and community. I started out not necessarily for of and now I talk/teach of every month in my classes.

I don't think I've ever started a PRO cop thread (id have to check but I sincerely doubt it) but I do often respond to the numerous anti cop crap that gets slung.

If every day I started a thread about an open carrier or an emt or my favorite firefighter acting like an ass clown what do you think the response would be?

Finally, ALOT of crap that gets slung about police is utterly false and not true. I've heard all kinds of myths on here from the way warrants are run to IQ level to what type/amount of training. So on occasions when I can, I try to insert some clarity.

Primus, I appreciate your insight.

The problem is, the system is just flat-out broken. It just is. Rule of law is in place, but the rules are too many and the infringement of one's rights are too often.

I have a few LEO'S in the family and as friends, and I KNOW they get stoked when they get an arrest. I know they are happy when they bust someone for weed.

Not because they feel like the protected the public, but because they are doing the job they are paid to do well. They are standing out as workers to their superiors. The thought of ethics of laws takes a back seat working toward that promotion. I'm not saying this makes them bad people, but it's clear that is what happens all the time.

It's in human nature to justify what you do for a living, even if part of it is questionable. For an officer that is idealistic and has a family to support, he is not going to stick his neck out in a grey area.

I have a lot of respect for what many officers try to do, and what they try to do for society. But I think it is important to call a spade as spade. I've driven a lowered sports car before, and I can't tell you how many times I had police officers pull me over for "pulling over a stop line at a light" or a "license plate light out" when I clearly know it's not, in hopes of busting drugs. When I had an srt-4 it was nearly a monthly occurance.

You can either be defensive and argue each example I gave, or remember my post history with you and remember that I am giving perspective, not trying to rip on cops. I appreciate them in many ways. But take it for what it is worth. The people here don't trust our politicians, so not trusting the enforcement arm of these people is not a huge stretch, either.

Just to be clear, I don't like generalizing all cops. But every situation I believe deserves FAIR scrutiny, and not just a pass due to a badge and a light bar on the car.

Furthermore, this is OPENCARRY.ORG.
Every single instance of a police officer detaining someone unlawfully for open carry is gonna be here. It may not represent the police population, but when that's the number one group that harasses OC, you might want to have thick skin on here, because it shouldn't be surprising that it shows up all the time on an OC site.

Well said. Won't hear any disagreement from me brother. You hit the nail on the head. I do not deny anything you have said and appreciate the perspective.

The points you raised are fair and accurate ones. I've mentioned on here before I've found myself second guessing things and thinking things through on the job based on some of the conversations I've had with guys here, to include yourself.

As I've said many of times my only goal is to help people. Here or on the street. I sincerely appreciate your open and genuine dialogue. If anything is ever to change that is how itll be accomplished.

Well, he's bound to have done something threatening sometime, somewhere. Or maybe he would have had done something threatening in the future.

Cops gotta optimize their situation, after all.

I disagree and go out on a limb and defend him with this photo.
