Stopped at DePere culvers, the new one by walmart, and after having a lovely double bacon deluxe (mmmmmmmmmmmmmm) I went back to the counter for dessert. A lady behind me steps up beside me to order, and smiles, we exchange hello's, and she says "nice shirt". LOL, I was wearing my tie dye with John 15:11 on the back, so I guess I'm not bummed that it trumped the Glock. lol.

Frozen custard.....mmmmmmmmmm

Just carry, period.

Quick update. Just OC'd again at the Kwik Trip in Fox Lake. Pretty much everyone there noticed but no one looked mad or freaked. One guy came up to me as I was leaving and said: ahhhh concealed carry? I just smiled and said no its open carry. He then asked if you need a permit for that and I replied no and he shrugged his shoulders and went on his way. I'm starting to like this more and more. :)

Hehe. I just walked with my wife and kid to the park and was open carrying. She then wanted to go to the park right next to the school. I said I can't go there when I'm wearing this. She had no idea I was openly carrying my Glock. Well needless to say she got pretty mad and now I'm not allowed to wear it concealed or open whenever she or my daughter is around. So lame. She said its pointless to carry when all were doing is walking to the park and that I should never wear a gun around a 1 year old.

You could try bringing her to an open carry event. I think it helped my wife understand my feelings about carry.

http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/s...pen-Carry-Picnic-Delavan-WI-6-17-noon-3-00-pm This is the Delavan OC party. It sounds like it will have good turn out. You will see a lot of good regular people, and yes a lot of kids also.

I feel that your 1 year old is a very good reason to want to carry. I am sure you would want to be able to try to protect her if needed. I kind of feel it is your job, but thats just me.

Again, I would not push her to hard, but I would push her to try to understand your feelings about it.

Yeah I completely agree. That wouldn't be a bad idea. She's just afraid of handguns. She's grown up with rifles and shotguns her whole childhood but never a pistol. She told me she does want to take it to the range and shoot it so maybe that will help a little to. Just last winter a man followed her home and walked right up the driveway with a knife saying she needs to learn how to drive. He said thank god I know you from high school or I was going to stab you. That's the reason I carry. We live in Fox Lake which is a very small community but things still happen. 3 years ago a man chased his girlfriend all the way to the police station and stabbed her numerous times right in the police department driveway.... glad to see they protect and serve. Long story short you never know when some lunatic is going to lose it and try and take out a few people. I'm only 23 years old and I know this....

Just curious, but what was the reason that you couldn't go to that park?

Nope. I'm taking a class on the 16thbin Ashippun for free and then I'm getting it. She compromised with me and said as long as its concealed she doesn't care if I carry but i cant open carry when she is around.

Ah, Ok. The CC license will help, even while OCing, to get rid of the pesky school zone thing. Until the GFSZ's are gone and constitutional carry is established it's the best thing we've got going. With a school in the middle of a small municipality it makes it difficult to go anywhere without hitting a school zone.

Enjoy the class and carry on!

If someone asks why you are carrying a firearm, just tell them, " because a cop is too heavy".

I'm definitely using this. One of my favorite reactions to use to that question is to look confused and then look down and wig out "holy hell!! How did that get there!!! Ahhh!!". I only do that with people I know though.

I still haven't encountered any OC'ers when I'm out and about. Kind of surprises me. Seems like there's a good number of us in SE WI.
