I know this is the wrong section to post this question, so excuse me, but where would I find the file for the tri folds you are all referring too. I just got my first handgun and have been eager to open carry but would like some information for the people Im sure ill encounter.
Welcome!
Do you have a CPL (carry permit)? If not then you need to be careful to NOT handle your pistol "inside" (within the confines) of your car. You need to only handle the gun COMPLETELY OUTSIDE the cars interior or the trunk when taking it out of the case or putting it back in the case.
And once your pistol is loaded and holstered be careful to NOT lean back inside for anything and let the gun pass that invisible line from "outside" to "inside"......
Because it is illegal to possess (handling it is possessing) in a vehicle without a CPL... but it is legal to transport it AFTER it has been put in a case.
So even though you might be inclined to hide your gun inside the trunk or car while handling it during uncasing and loading or unloading and casing so as not to "scare" anyone doing so without a CPL is ... illegal.
Please consider contacting someone who already OC's near you and go for coffee with them to help ease stepping into the world of OC. And attend any OC events (picnics, dinners, outings) set up near you and mentioned on this forum.
Edited to add:
On topic... Yooperlady and I with my OC'd sidearm got out and about again today...
And in Saginaw we went to:
Taco Bell on Tittabawassee Rd.
Wal Mart on Bay Rd.
PetSmart
Then to Lamplighter Flowers in Bridgeport to get roses for my HunnieBunnie Yooperlady.
And no one much cared about my sidearm anywhere... exactly as it should be.
