I am not here on ocdo to discuss my broader political beliefs, only right now to report on the ongoing problem of dpd malicious prosecution. If you'd like to discuss the finer details of non aggression, please do hit us up on Facebook or by email.
I love when some noob from another state stumbles in and starts shooting off his mouth with zero frame of reference. Such unabashed ignorance!

Eleven postings and still we don't know why Michigander posted something about something happened. What that something is we don't know.

And I just wasted time posting this......

I'm not your little gopher... If you want followers then provide links. Your obtuse "I'm going to tell you a story someday" lacks any stimulus.

Every day I allocate some time to wast on frivolous issues. Today you drew the short straw.

The story has been the same for a solid 5 years. The dpd targets black male ocers who have no cpl, and charges them with ccw, effectively turning their lives upside down. There are different twists here and there, but that is the standard repeated situation, including just recently, as mentioned a new case won at a jury trial, and also a fresh victim. Whether or not you think a new, unnamed victim is relevant is not something that concerns me, because I'm too busy being involved to care.

I don't much care if you want to watch or not. We already for some reason have the largest open carry related youtube channel. Views buy us new cameras, but so do 60 hour work weeks. If you're interested we have a lot of content, mainly raw footage of activism. Many people enjoy it and many don't.

Sorry MICHIGANDER, I was just browsing this thread. I know how you guys hate the rest of the country

I just had a question on what you just posted. Please forgive that I am bad at initialization.

First I despise if the LEO, are targeting black men( and women). Do you guys have to have a carry license in MI? I thought you were an open carry state.

I most definitely don't hate the rest of the country, in fact I prefer much of it to here.

The registration process is itself by its definitions a licensing, but in general there is a concealed carry license which you don't have to have in many cases to carry openly. Those who are targeted by the dpd have registered guns and no cpl.

Getting THIS thread back on track...I oc'd at the polling station and then the local library on Tuesday. Despite both venues being rather busy, no issues whatsoever, as it should be.

Same here, but my polling station wasn't that busy. I certainly got a few looks, some of them ugly, but no one said a single word.

The Marine veteran I thanked yesterday for his service seemed surprised to see someone OCing at the polls. I am sure he understands bearing arms is one of the rights and freedoms of the people he served to protect. And I appreciate the sacrifices that all veterans, past and present, have made.

The ladies working the polls weren't a bit surprised nor were they the least bit concerned when they saw my sidearm. It was a complete non issue.

Edited because I realized a Marine does know what he was serving for.

Just going by the statements you Michigan people make about others.

Just trying to grasp. You do have to have a permission slip to hide your GUN, but do you need one to carry. What are your limits?

Are they just targeting blacks, or anybody? Either way it is bad. But if they are targeting blacks then it is worse the anything the Klan did

Michigander is part of a pro OC / pro rights group in MI.

He has to my personal knowledge been a steadfast advocate for rights in the over 5 years I have known him. I suspect he's not linking the incident yet because there maybe a lawsuit pending.

Anyways I hope the mods allow this post so you can see what he and others in MI are up against. Brother, you are always welcome here in my home.

Look at it from our perspective, the problem is Michigander is saying there is a story of injustice happening, but I can't tell you what it is. That puts it in the category of the sky is falling. That is why he is getting ignored.

You seem to be trying to cast a negative light on his character? I can only tell you of my personal experiences with him over the last 5 years, which have always been positive in relation to advocating for rights. It is my understanding that he has been a co-founding member of Michigan Open Carry in it's early years, & L.I.F.E. (Liberty Is For Everyone).

So what's your issue with him exactly? Or are you simply picking at him to pick? Hey it's a free country, have at it. Seems kind of circular firing squad like to me but hey, you're entitled to your opinions however uninformed they may be.

Carry on.

OC'd today in Clio at:

Wal Mart for a few things and when my friend and I walked up to the ammo dept. a guy was telling another couple about open carry, like carrying your cell phone on your belt, was legal. And there I stood right next to him and he never noticed my sidearm. The couple did though but they didn't say anything.

And KFC for lunch where I was warmly greeted by the manager and staff wondering why I haven't stopped in lately. And the fellow in front of us was surprised to discover that while he was reaching for his money I had already paid for his lunch. He said his wife does that for other folks sometimes too.

While sitting at the table eating our lunch the 3 older ladies at the next table seemed to find me interesting. Although no one said anything all eyes were upon me when, after finishing lunch, I walked out the door. Even to the point where they watched from inside as I walked to my car.

But then... no one ran out screaming, nothing was said, and the folks at KFC are super nice.

Just another day .....
