haha why are your posts so short winded? haha

lol nothing happen, so nothing to report just that I went out. :p I did ordered wings 10 @ .49cent special. It was a small place. I felt funny walking in by myself waiting on a party of 7, everyone looked when I walked in.

We have a OC dinner coming up this week, I know its a long drive.

Most of the people don't notice 90% of the time anyways.

Wings & Guns

Went to Quaker Steak and Lube last night with my daughters. They jumped at the chance to go. :)

I was OC-ing the Stainless P220 as usual and our waiter asked what type of gun it was. We got into a 10-15 minute conversation talking about OC, safe storage and ranges. I had met him before when he was working out front and had a similar conversation last spring. I handed another one of Ed's cards out (wow two in two days after months of none!) As usual my girls were getting antsy and were ready to go. :) There was a table of young gents next to us and I am sure they over-heard most of our conversation too. A good night.

BayDays!

OC All around bay days in Hampton Saturday. The Police presence looked like cadet review... they where all bunched up together. :/

I was classic Va Tuck, I had two interactions of note.

#1 On the dock going to a friend's yacht.
Lady, oh your packing!
me: Yes! aren't you?
lady: No,... I make it a point to run away from trouble...
me: Hope that continues to work out for ya! (As I was moving on down the dock)

#2 On the porch of Marker 20.
Man: Don't ya just love Virginia.
me: Hu? (Fully knowing to what he was referring)
Man: Virginia and their great gunlaws.
me: Oh Yes, freedom is a great thing...

A long discussion ensues and enjoined among several other patrons. I told them of opencarry.org and VCDL.

two of them knew of Opencarry.org but not VCDL... :/

Anyway, A nice weekend.

I, too, open carried all around Bay Days. Walked past an officer on the sidewalk (he was walking too slowly for me) and past many other officers - not a word said, no unusual looks, all-in-all prefectly handled by the Hampton PD.

Home Depot, Chick Fil A for dinner, Target and Walmart. It was nice to park in the handi cap spots in all places, my Grand Father got his Handi cap sticker he is 80% disabled. He enjoys the shorter walks now. My Grand parents were with me so we had dinner.

Wal-mart. Carried the 1911 along with the wife and 3 kids. Met 45acpForMe and got some of ed's cards. (It was very nice meeting you btw, and thanks for the cards. Hopefully I can bring the crowd to a dinner some time soon.)

It was nice meeting you and your family too. You have a beautiful family AND the means to protect them! :monkey I miss the days when I could throw my kids in a shopping cart but don't really miss the diapers too much. :) At some point I will schedule another OC dinner at the County Grill down the street so I hope you and your family can make it.

It is still unusual to bump into another OC-er but if there is one place that all of us tend to go it is Walmart. Either for ammo or other essentials. :)

Down this way working all week... stopped in Target (not sure which one, receipt says VB South). One of the checkout kids asked "is that a Hi-Point? No it's a SIG. Of course then he had to tell me all about how he had a High Point (shouldn't he then have been able to recognize that mine wasn't? Especially since it has Sig Sauer embossed largely upon the grips?) Anyway, an enthusiastic young gun owner.

Comfort Suites. No comments from anyone in the free breakfast buffet all week.

Yesterday stopped for dinner at Lonestar in Chesapeake. Boy was that a mistake. No OC problems, the food was horrible and incorrectly cooked. Second time I've been there, and both times problems. Won't make the mistake of going there again.

Lunch today at the German Store in Yorktown. Had the Goulash with Spaetzle and red cabbage. Very good, made up for last night. Two York County deputies were enjoying lunch as well. It was a well protected restaurant!

I am sorry to hear that, my family goes there quite often and the food has always been excellent. Never a problem OCing there.

Man I wish I had known you were eating at the German Store today. I was trying to think of something to eat (and it is about 2 miles from my house). I actually thought about going there but didn't want to wait for takeout. They are a bit slow on service (maybe european style). Next time you are in town and planning on going there or the County Grill send me a PM! :)

Many people own Glocks and it is the only brand they know about so they ask me if mine is a Glock.... I don't own any Glocks. :) Hopefully you educated him on the wonders that are Sig! :)

I took my daughter to Quaker Steak & Lube today (again) since we had such good wings Sunday we both wanted them again. The wings were good, the service average and the downpour of rain exceptional! Also OC-ed to Food Lion.

I didn't decide on going there for lunch until the last minute. Finished up at the job site in Lynnhaven and headed for the second one in Newport News, remembered it was on the way. Service was pretty fast today. I missed seeing the thread about tonight's OC dinner at Greenbriar until just now; figures, I was staying right across the street all week but am now up in NN. One more site to hit tomorrow morning and then it's back to NoVA.

Yeah, the High Point kid said it was the only one he had; I told him I had about fifty and of all of them it's my daily carry.
