I don't agree. The Antis would say that gun rights are only controversial to us. They have their view of the world without controversy (no gun rights at all), and we have ours.

By definition, as long as there are antis, and there are people like us, it will be a controversial issue.

But most important, when you communicate with someone for whom this is a secondary issue, they generally don't want any controversy, and are usually just trying to find the course of least resistance to make it go away. It's our job to convince them that our ideas are that better course.

Right, but we have the constitution and courts backing us. What we do (and want) is the way it is and the way it always has been, and they're the ones trying to change that.

So GS calls and tells them many citizens will take their business elsewhere and gets a favorable result.

Some bitter old hag calls them and tells them she and her sixty-two cats will take their business elsewhere and gets an unfavorable result.

Doesn't sound like the kind of place I'd want to patronize anyhow.

If you all read something other than Drudge, you'd know all about it.

These take you from the start:

I expect it'll be more than 62. There were over a hundred at the welcome back party.

Seems like all that happened last year. Seems like Fudd's is trying to go anti-gun again this year.

I'm not sure last year's resolution affects this year's managers.

Grapeshot got a call from Corporate telling him it was not their policy to ban guns.
That location had just experienced an armed robbery and with a knee jerk reaction the local manager put up the offending sign.

The person I spoke to was actually the Regional Manager who advised me that he had directed the "No Guns" sign be taken down at that time.

Never did talk to anybody from corporate.

When will these people learn that a no guns policy doesn't make anyone safe.
They still haven't learned anything from Luby's Cafeteria. Ask Suzanna Hupp how see feels about about victim rich zones.

So...which is it? Is this question resolved somehow and I missed it, or is the question still open?

I have visited the local Fuddruckers here is York numerous times. One of our PAFOA members recently had a birthday celebration at the Fuddruckers in Harrisburg.

Alway OC, never a problem.

I have no intentions of patronizing an establishment that opposes the lawful carry of weapons by law-abiding citizens.

Maybe it's about time I traveled down to NOVA and visited with some of you radical racist redneck retards. Should feel just like going home! :p

Me either.. but in my opinion.. if you decide to take that stance.. you should also write to corporate and tell them so. They might not miss a few burger sales.. but getting a hundred or so lettersmight make an impact

I will send them an email as well. We brought at least 65 people to the Sandy, Utah location in November.

I asked the manager about sales that day, and he said that we easily doubled the sales for that day.

If Fuddruckers doesn't want our cash, there are plenty of other burger joints that will take it. :p

The only thing I think you have to remember is that its only a local problem. I don't think there is any need giving the Fuddruckers brand a bad image as a whole. At that point it might become a corporate policy instead of a regional one.

BTW, Five Guys FTW.
Five guys is SOOOOOOO much better (and greasier) than Fuddruckers anyways. And so far I've never had a problem there.

It is already corporate policy, the email I received was for corp HQ.

In my experience, the managers and employees at Five Guys are 100% pro-OC (or at least not anti ;) ).

Screw 'em. Even here in the Bay Area, where there is no Five Guys (crying shame, that, seriously  ), I can do better than Fuddruckers (granted, not in any chains that I can think of).

Now, that isn't to say I dislike Fuddruckers. Their burgers and shakes are good. I had actually been to the Fuddruckers in Fairfax City twice last time I was in-state.

But, if they want to take this stance, then I'm going to do without. Fortunately, there's plenty of competition which is easily in their league (and better).
