Just an update in this department:

The McDowell Sonoran Preserve has updated it's website (complete rebuild from the looks of it) and so far, no wording has even TOUCHED on the subject of firearms as the previous website did. Of course, it looks to still be under construction, so time will tell, and while I haven't been to the preserve in almost two weeks, I suspect the signs are still up forbidding firearms entirely.

I noticed this statement from the Police and DA.

"The Scottsdale Police Department and the prosecutor's office agreed that criminal charges in this case are not in the best interest of justice."

I find it very interesting. The police is saying they wont file criminal charges but the reason given is rather funny. They are they wont file charges because its "not in the best interest of justice". Another way to say it, in my opinion, would be "the DA has decided not to file charges because no law was broken".

The DA and police are basically saying he broke a law but they dont want to file charges.

Has anyone been to the preserve since the new preemption law took effect? AT this point they can't prohibit firearms at ANY level, but I kinda suspect the signs remain the same...
