Man did that class bite!!! Jeff should pay US to take it:lol:

Seriously it was WELL worth the nominal fee Jeff charges. I highly recommend it even if your consider yourself to be a firearm veteran. If and when he comes back to Wisconsin I hope he offers some more of his classes.

Maybe he can develop a self defense class for those who are not as physically capable. For instance one of the main reasons I choose to carry is that due to back injuries I really can Nike off, so if I choose not to DIE, I will have to fight. I cant be rolling around, diving for cover etc... Just a thought.

I really can Nike off? What does that mean?

I hope you were not disappointed. I am not sure who Jeff is, but Yellow Cat's first name is Jim - Not Jeff. If you were disappointed, please PM me and I will fully refund your course fee.

Sorry Yellow cat, no disrespect intended, I am not good with names. And you did NOT disappoint me, and I would be surprised to hear anyone say they were. I take it my inferred jest was taken as a serious comment? The $40.00 I paid was far less than I would have been willing to pay for the quality of class you provided. That is why I took none of your discounts, I felt you could have easily asked a much higher price. I apologies if my opening comment was taken as anything other than the joke I intended.

Granted you really don't know me, but I do have a dry humor that as I can see can be taken wrong.

As for the part of a training suggestion, that was totally serious. I can not move very fast, or very well, and if you could come up with some sort of training that would help me (and I'm sure there are others in a similar position as I) it would be greatly appreciated.

Once again I want to make it perfectly clear that the course by Yellow Cat was far more than I expected, and strongly recommend is class to ANYONE!!!!

One thing that JIM said several times was that Wisconsin has the NIKE (I know it wasnt the Addidas rule) rule, the run and die dictate by the State. I thought that was a rather poignant and relevant statement he made. And it was supposed to read I CAN"T Nike off, as in I cant run away.

Yellow Cat Your class was great...

...you truly went above, and beyond any exasperations I had, and as much as your course was touted in posts here, they didn't come close. Your well rounded knowledge in gun safety, law, and life make you a respected instructor in my book. As good as a DI, but better breath. Thank you, my daughter an I will always speak highly of you, and your courses. Stay safe, boar out.

Nike defense is, as of this moment in Wisconsin Law, the only legal response to a threat of violence, That is - if you can - beat feet and run away. The recently passed Castle Doctrine begins to make the "Nike Defense" moot, at least in your home, but Current WI Law requires you to use the "Nike Defense" prior to defend yourself in WI.

WI needs "stand your ground" Castle Doctrine.

All I can do is repeat what others have said, a great class at a great price. I'm sorry I didn't do the earlier class months ago, but who knew JB would throw such a monkey wrench in the MD certificate route?

The two students I sent to Yellow Cat's course were pleased with the class and grateful for the use of another student's extra lawn chairs. They were told to bring chairs and forgot. Oops. Thanks to the Yellow Cat once again. Thanks also to the fellow with the extra chairs. I have found the members of our group to exemplify the highest and best traits and to be great ambassadors of the cause. Carry On.

As always Jim, thanks for a great class. 3rd time taking the class and still walk away with something new every time. You use funny ways to expalin things that help imprint parts of the class in our minds as well as make it enjoyable to be there and remove the boredom factor. I really like the "Booger finger off the bang stick." I thought the way you used the visual aids made it easier for the whole class to see what you were showing us. I also appreciate how when the class was taking longer than expected you still took the time to teach as much as you can rather than trying to rush the class material. This allowed us to get so much more insight and a better in-depth understanding of all the material.

I really enjoyed how you pointed out the differences between Utah, Federal, and Wisconsin laws. This helped made it easier to realize which laws pertained to to Utah specifically so we don't get into trouble with Wisconsin laws.

All that said, thanks for a great class. Was a great way to spend my birthday.

:( I just read this. Wish I would have known about this in time, i would have participated.

Any recommendation on other classes between johnson creek and milwaukee for decent prices. Or does anybody know
where one can take a hunter safety course (does that still meet the requirement???). Been carrying for a while, but need the class to get the CCW license.

Thanks.

yeah it's been a while. i got sick of all the crap. honestly didn't figure this state would actually make any progress in this matter, had to much poop on my plate with health and personal stuff, and still dealing with sheit from my burglaries and stuff, and finally just said f*** it and packed my bags. starting to settle in somewhere more peaceful and quiet with no people around anymore. Think living in the city has started turning me into a misanthropist. Now it's just me, my wife and son, my guns and 2 little kitty cats.

hell might even start showing my face around some events again. maybe.

thanks for the link. i'll take a look at it.

Peaceful and quiet can be very healing; I'm glad it worked for you. Just don't take it too far and start to isolate....

Whew, Talk about computer disconnect !!!!:p

Finally got a chance to turn the thing on. Also helps its too cold to work outside...

I just wanted to take this time to thank the Yellow Cat for his time & efforts to teaching this class on Saturday.

I learned a bunch & appreciated all that made this weary traveling FIB feel welcome. :D

Thanks again & good luck with your future endeavours.

For those still wanting training that meets DOJ standards:
I'm offering classes based on the DOJ curriculum, takes 4 to 5 hours depending on questions & breaks, for $80/person.

Willing to do in-home training (or in your business conference room, church basement, etc.) in the greater Milwaukee area,
or I can arrange a venue in Milwaukee with a couple week's notice.
(The infamous coffee shop!)
Get some friends together, & we'll agree on a date.

Scorpio, I'm willing to travel; can discuss going further afield from MKE. Including a meal would be a nice bribe. :D

Much as I appreciate the support, I'd really prefer to earn money rather than taking gifts.
People can PM me here or via the contact form on my website: www.ladyNRAinstructor.com
