I now have to sleep with one eye open because my wife can SHOOT!

Paul, I am only partly to blame for your wife being able to shoot. A good deal of the blame lies with MKEGAL who worked very diligently and professionally with your wife and with Civil War Guy's lady. (That girl has a future as a Firearms Instructor.)

When we first met I boasted that I had taken females who had never handled a firearm in their life and teach them to shoot 6 inch groups on paper plates at 15 feet. You were skeptical, but now hopefully are a believer.

Golfing With Glocks Course

Hmmm....interesting.

Golfing with Glocks is mostly point shooting, but novices are allowed to use sights initially.

Outdoor range required.

Set up plastic cup at end of range by the berm.

Place a golf ball at the beginning of the range.

Using a Glock 17 or Springfield XD-9, shoot golf ball into cup. Each shot is a "swing". Direct hits at low angles drive the ball. High angled hits launch the ball. Putting can be accomplished by shooting the side of the ball from nearly overhead. Directly overhead is not allowed lest the ball rise up and strike a sensitive area of the body.

Range must be free of rocks or no putting will be allowed. Golf balls may be replaced if damaged too badly for another "swing". Only one golfer may swing at a time and all golfers must remain behind the person "swinging".

Using 45s such as the Model 1911 or Glock 21 is allowed only if the golfer brings lots of balls as the .45 ACP tends to make short work of the golf balls. 9mm is not so bad.

Course is limited to 5 student golfers who are already experienced shooters. Golfing with Glocks is not for the inexperienced shooter.

I have a G17, but not a G19. Also have a Sig 226 in 9mm or my little Kahr MK9 mouse gun.

I was gonna say how awesome oak1971's not so stock Sig is. It is easily the most accurate and well behaved pistol I have ever had the pleasure of shooting.

But then I realized the Glock/Springfields in Glock Golf are supposed to be handicaps. Make it more interesting. What fun would it be with precision firearms, right?

:p

That Sig is is stock. I have made no alterations. They are just that good. For over $1100 it had better be.

?

I thought that one had the Sig factory treatment? That's crazy if that thing is stock. Looks like I know what I need for x-mas.

You are correct Sir, and I was kidding just for the record.

Although I throw the gauntlet down now. I say I can beat all comers with my Iver Johnson Saturday Night Special.

If you don't believe a Springfield is a precision firearm you have obviously never fired one.... :D

It isnt, and its not meant to be. Its not even a Springfield.

The HS2000 (Hrvatski Samokres (Croatian Pistol)), or XD (X-treme Duty) are a series of semi-automatic pistol that are polymer-framed and striker-fired. Manufactured in the city of Karlovac, Croatia by HS Produkt (formerly I.M. Metal), the Springfield Armory XD is the marketing name for the weapon, which is licensed and sold in the US by Springfield Armory, Inc.[2]
