If I had a HG and hadn't lost them in a tragic boating accident, I'd carry an XD-M 9mm Compact.

My g/f, whose HG was eaten by a Spinosaurus on Jurassic Park Island would carry a .357 Magnum Ruger LCR.

Here's a pic:

Mine will be the only pistol I own which I can currently trust, my Springfield XD Service model in .357sig.

I just picked up an IO Inc. Hellcat (P3AT/LCP clone) strictly because I really don't buy anything from Gander Mountain and had gift card I had been sitting on for nearly a year that I refused to buy way overpriced ammo with along with a couple coupons I was able to stack so I got it for just under $140 and have $20 coming back via mail. So if it's terrible I'm not at much of a loss. If it works out, I'll use it the small percent of the time I'm jogging.

LoL they'll see mine plenty, just because we *can* CC, doesn't mean we *have to* at all times<g>

Odds are 90% of my time will be what I would call "casual carry", OWB Serpa and not giving a rat's behind if my shirt/jacket happens to cover the grips.

If I conceal carry, I will carry my trusty 1911 as I do now. I carried it for many years concealed and felt more than comfortable with it. Should be no different now...

Same here! Full size 1911... :banana:I dont need no stinking pocket pistols!!!!
Texas has no printing law for the CHL. I hate concealed carry though.

I'll carry the same things that I OC with now: Glock 23 in a Milt Sparks Summer Special IWB holster, and at times a Glock 35. For long drives in the car I like a Glock 20 in a shoulder holster-- more comfortable and accessible form of carry while strapped inside a vehicle, plus 10mm power.

The major difference will be the carrying of a little PTA3 .380 as a BUG and the addition of some knives from my collection that I won't take a chance concealing now due to their design and/or size.

Full size 1911. My Taurus PT1911 is the only pistol I had, until my similarly tragic boating accident. I really want a Galco Miami II for the winter. Otherwise, it'll probably be a Bianchi 100. (For when I get another one, ya know.)

Seems to be lots of boating accidents, involving entire firearm collections, in Wisconsin... I'm going to take up SCUBA diving I think. ;)

Otherwise I will keep carrying my 1911. I have an XDm 3.8 9mm, but I am too fond of my springfield loaded 1911. In toothy critter country I'll go with the .475 SA revolver (light handloads of course).

I live in florida where we can only conceal so i thought id chime in. I have a glock 23, 26, and 27. I love the sub compacts the most and carry my 27 more than anything. The 26 and 27 (9mm & .40) are pretty much the same frame. The only cosmetic mod i have is a peirce grip extension. It conceals very well considering i live in florida and dress accordingly.

I can only CC here in Oklahoma and what I carry is dictated by how baggy of a shirt I'm wearing. If I can get away with it I carry an XDm-40 with a 3.8" barrel and if not then I have my wife's Taurus 738 TCP (since she doesn't have her CWP yet), though I want to see if I can find a really small gun in .40 so that I don't have to have a bunch of different types of ammo. Might look at one of the Kahr's in .40 but they are so expensive, or I might look at the Taurus PT-140 Pro.

Soon I will be picking up a compact Glock 26 as my primary Concealment pistol.
When the snow flies & I am wearing a Jacket, I will also be carrying my Full size Glock 34, depending on where I am going.

I like my Springfield XD 40. However: I have a Ruger 9 Mil, and a holster which sits tight to my side, cannot see any outline with a shirt in cover. My wife likes to shoot the 9, so may polish it up and give it to her for a present!!! Then purchase the same only in a 40.
Just hoping for CC., no thrills, not bills, just CC. Simple, if that is possible any more?

Have you looked at the Taurus 740 Slim? It's on my short list...

Also a HK P2000SK would fit the bill, but more $$$.

For now I will probably just carry the Kimber Tactical Ultra, but I need a better holster. My wife's Taurus PT138 is smaller and she probably won't carry it so there's another option for me; and it's PINK!
