Please add them to pro-oc business.
I would sure hope that a sporting goods store would promote the carry of firearms

It's a gun store, and no not all gun stores promote the carry of firearms believe it or not.

I can refer you to a fine thread on defensivecarry on the subject in fact.

http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulletin/open-carry-issues-discussions/61533-oc-gun-shop.html

Also, just before Joe's Sporting Goods (a west coast sporting goods chain) went sideways it banned OC.

Here's a new one, and a shocker at that.

Jays Windows: http://jayswindows.com/

We got a quote from him today, and he said that he would not allow any work to be done on my house if I were armed IN MY OWN HOME while the work was being done. Needless to say, he won't be getting my business.

So much for being an army vet - swearing to uphold the Constitution must carry quite a bit less weight these days than it used to.

Done business here.

They were capable of doing jobs other places would not, or could not. (ex. Not everybody wants to pay somebody to remove the control arm AND press the bearing out and a new one in. Some would like to simply bring the control arm, and finish the job themselves.).

This is very positive on top of them being Pro-Gun. Take your automotive needs to these guys please.

An update (sent to my girlfriend, who is handling the email communications), though no clarification on the initial "don't carry" request:

I think your boyfriend was a little offended that I asked about the weapon not being around if you decided to go with us. The installation crews have not had someone carry around a gun while they are doing work and I am sure would feel uncomfortable. Being a combat wounded veteran, I am quite comfortable around weapons, however it is your house and your right to not want to take it off and I understand that and respect that. That is what America is all about.

My offer still stands if either of you need information or websites to find products for your home let me know and I will help.

Hi everyone,

I just joined this forum. I have an anti-carry business for you. But first let me set the stage. I work for an armored car company and was on my way home from work. I stopped at a local store to pick up some milk. I was still wearing my body armor and my duty weapon. I wasn't comfortable withleaving my pistol in the cab of my truck as there was no roomto hide the pistol case. I went into the store wearing my pistol and was approached bya clerk, sheasked me if I was on duty. I said I was off work and buying milk. She told me that the manager had said that if I wasn't on duty I would have to leave my pistol in my vehicle....as Bi-mart is private property. I guess the people at Bi-mart feel threatened if there are guns around.....unless it is a gun that is onsale of course.

This was at the following location:

Bi-Mart

11912 Northeast 4th Plain Road, Vancouver Wa.

Sorry about that, I've been super busy this month and a configuration issue was overlooked for a couple days. It's back up now.

Thanks for all the support and I'm glad you find it useful!
Unfortunately the first post in this thread is not being updated on a regular basis. I've PM'd about a couple companies but they were not added.

Luckily friendorfoe is on the ball. Thank you!

Hello to all,

This is my first time even coming to the forum part of Open carry.org. Most of my time is on the 1911 forum.

I was asked to leave my gun in the car by US Health Works in Federal Way. Only after completing my visit so they could get there money. No signs posted and never showed me their policy.

It was weird because the US Health Works in Tukwila said nothing to me the 2 times I was there with a Glock 19 in a Safariland paddle holster with a light attached.
