Geoff,
many of the "this thread" links are now dead due to the forum move. Also some businesses have changed their policy.

* Olive Garden (while I haven't received official word yet) seems to have gone pro carry
* Toys r Us has gone anti carry
* Rainer Guns in Lakewood use to be anti OC but has since changed its policy after I talked with them on March 2011.
* Applebees is anti OC/pro CC as of 7/2011

* Summer of 2012 we are scheduled to have a Cracker Barrel in the Puget Sound area. Their policy is anti gun.

Darn can't find the thread but in California the letter from corporate for Olive Garden is to follow state law I think it even went a little more positive than that. But I have always carried there and have never had an issue.

I have OC'd the Olive Garden on 72nd successfully in like May 2011. It was seen, recognized, and not even brought up.

It seems I won't be visiting the Crackel Barrel :( I was looking forward to that too.

Wells Fargo just told me to leave (And this was one inside of a Top Foods) due to them not wanting to scare anyone with me OC. I informed them my banking will be done elsewhere. I also will be talking to Top Foods management as the bank should have to follow Top Foods policy if I am recollecting correctly.

You might want to contact Wells Fargo Corporate. It has always been my impression that Wells Fargo was "state Law", at least I have never had a problem.

I've OD'd at WF in Lacey WA numerous times with no word said. I have never in a year or so had a negative encounter. Bank, liquor store, grocery store, zoo, barber shop, ect., ect.

I too have had no problem with Wells Fargo. Actually I haven't any problems at any banks. Even the ones some have listed as "anti". Act like you belong and people will assume you belong.

Olive Garden Policy is now Pro Gun:

http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/s...lly-quot-Friendly-quot&highlight=olive+garden

"Dear Tim:

Thank you for your inquiry concerning Olive Garden's position on firearms. We respect and appreciate your perspective and motivation to contact us.

Olive Garden’s focus is to provide all of our guests with a genuine Italian dining experience. The general policy regarding firearms in our restaurants is to follow the state law. In fact, when state law provides an "opt out" clause, Olive Garden elects to comply with the law as it is written. We do not opt out. If you have any questions about specific states, you may reply to this email or speak with the general manager of your local Olive Garden restaurant.

Darden is the world's largest full-service restaurant company.
The Darden family of restaurants features some of the most recognizable and successful brands in full-service dining: Red Lobster, Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, The Capital Grille, Bahama Breeze and Seasons 52.

And? Or were you just telling us a random fact about Darden? :)

and? you're just building your post count??

Just an FYI, that there may be other facilities that should now be ok to carry as well.....

No, I legitimately thought there was more to your post. And there was because you were pointing out the other restaurants that carrying is okay in now that Olive Garden is carry friendly. I just didn't make the connection.

Gogodawg,

I just got back from a very pleasant dinner at the Tacoma Olive Garden. No one went screaming and running, the folks at the next table gawked for a bit. The hostess and server not once had an issue with the firearm. This was a very different dining experience versus the one in Oct 2009 when I was asked to leave.

Still awaiting the reply from a certain auto parts store you ask for the policy on??? (Unless you already posted it and I just missed it).

I wrote to her and requested the info again back some time ago when we discussed the issue. I've been carrying in my local store and not had issues after I talked to the manager. All I can say is that I am still working on it.

Davenport Hotel (Spokane)

My wife would like to go to the Davenport Hotel in Spokane for their Sunday Brunch some day, so to head off any problems at the pass I sent an email asking their policy on OC. What I got back seems to be a blanket prohibition against firearms on their premises.

Mr. BobR,

I have been forwarded your email regarding your request to carry a firearm while attending our Sunday Brunch in September. It is the policy of our hotel properties that firearms are not allowed other than by a commissioned law enforcement officer during the performance of their duty. We appreciate your asking in advance to alleviate any issues. If I can be of further assistance please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely, Chris Powell | Director of Security

I have a feeling their policy is violated on a regular basis by people who conceal.
