For those with on-line banking you can make a payment just as you would any other bill - but do add a note saying it is for Graham C.

I'm not trying to tell anybody how, or how much to give. But for anybody who cannot do a large lump sum there is the option of scheduling a payment every week/twice a month/every month that fits within your budget. You can set the number of payments to be made, or specify a date to end making payments. And if things get tight at home you can cancell any pending payments or stop all future payments.

One drop in the bucket may look small and insignificant, but I remind you that all the water currently flooding the Midwest arrived one small drop at a time.

IMO it seems that this could be shortened to when the police officer hands back the license (and any other documents, including possible citation):

1) Ask if you are "free to go?". If the answer is "yes", say "thanks", roll up windows, start car, put the car in drive, signal and enter traffic.

2) If asked: "Is there a weapon in the car?", repeat #1

3) If asked "Do you have anything in the car that I should know about?" answer no, and repeat #1.

4) If asked "Do you mind if I search your car?" Answer "I do not consent to any searches." or my preferred "No, you may not search my car." and then repeat #1. If the officer persists, I would follow up with: "my attorney will be happy to answer any additional questions."

I would answer the above as, except for #3:

3) "Yes, the licensed driver sitting in driver's seat of this car is undeserving of the citation/ticket that was handed to him/her" :lol:

Money may be very tight for me but I will scape some up out of the next pay check. Emotional support I can give, let's have a support breakfast or lunch for him and have a donation bucket there as well. I have vacation time on the books and would be willing to travel up in support. The emotional aspect cannot be discounted - the strain and impact on one's personal life is herrendous. Try to imagine being cuffed in front of your family including your 3 year old son - then being taken away by a police officer whom you've been taught to believe represents the right way of doing things and only goes after the bad guys.

It is only a short step to conclude that you as the victim are somehow responsible for your own rape and the shame associated with it. The "if I had only done...." builds up to a point that tears provide the only relief and you find yourself being comforted/hugged by the very little guy you wish to shelter from the ravages and injustices of life. I know life isn't fair - it's just a shame that a 3 year old had to be included in "paying for the ride".

The idea of having breakfast or lunch to raise awareness and funds is a great one - expands the the circle of influence geometrically. Tell everybody of this injustice. Think that sending scouser a PM of support would be a nice gesture too.

Yes a respectful group of interested parties at hearings/trials will make a statement - dates will be announced.

I believe so. I'll be filing suit today in Henrico Circuit Court on that theory, in a different case involving some City of Richmond cops. (Henrico is where the management office of the apartment rental company that hired Richmond to provide "security" is located.) The statute prohibits any "administrative action" taken in "bad faith" by "agents" of a "locality", which I think applies to cops making bone-headed decisions on the street.

Of course we will post it. And you can have a GSL sticker just about any time - just ask. There's at least part of a roll of them nearby.

OC Breakfasts are Saturday morning. The monthly OC Dinner is (usually) the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Scouser is pretty much a regular at these. The "official" start time for breakfast is 9:30 AM but sometimes Central Committee members show up early to eat so they can talk when everybody else arrives. Others just need coffee to prime the body for social contact. The OC Dinner start time is 7 PM, but the same caveat applies. Support breakfasts/lunches outside of these regularly scheduled events can be arranged by PMing Scouser and inviting him, then posting so others will know and can show up.

As much as folks seem to want to help out financially, I am a bit leery of "passsing the hat" at any of these functions. There are too many ways too many people could be embarassed. Once Grapeshot learns PayPal for Dummies he will have the link up. Everybody keep this under your hats because we want to surprise Scouser :uhoh: - but the Central Committee is trying to convince of of the members to exploit some contacts to arrange a time/place for a pig/oyster roast. We're going to sell tickets (in advance and at the door) in the hopes of luring some dog hunters and politicians to show up - gotta do something with the chitterlings, right? Time/place is currently TBA, but probably will be around the scheduled trial date in June.
