Suicide at West Coast Armory in Bellevue?

Thanks for backing my dad up. I will keep you and everyone else who was there in my prayers. It looks as though the only people will truly believe it happened are the people including you, and I who saw it happen.

No problem, that's the only reason I joined the forum yesterday. I hope your family can get past this as well.

This will probably be my last post as well since this is having a negative affect on me.

If regular members want to call say you were in the "Right On Target" class Sunday evening ask to talk to a manager and see if they are offering counseling.

If nobody confirms today we might as well delete the thread since at this point all it's doing is hurting people who witnessed this event.

I just called the Bellevue range to ask about it and the guy said he "could not comment about it."

I let him know there was a rumor about it going around on several local forums and the guy thanked me for it.

Just called Bellvue PD. NO RECORDS of any calls or vehicles being sent to WCA over the weekend at anytime.

To me I am satisfied that this did not happen. The store not knowing anything about it and police confirming no Calls or dispatch info to that location came up in the system.

You have to admit that the whole thing is pretty far-fetched from our perspective.....

We have 3 individuals who very recently joined the forums all telling a story that should have independent verification available, but which does not. That alone is questionable, 2 of them having practically the same user name even though they supposedly don't know each other doesn't help either.

Understand though, I am not trying to call anyone a liar. I am saying that there is valid cause for doubt, you should recognize the validity of the doubt, and you shouldn't be offended by the doubt. Personally I hope this is all made up, because I would hate to think this actually happened, but if it did happen then I hope we get independent confirmation soon so we can move on to something more than this back-and-forth negativity.

The exact same thing happened with the Wade's lead issue. Several brand spanking new members joined a board and posted wild accusations against Wade's. The media picked it up days later.

I'm sorry, my mind has an inappropriate very dark sardonic side. I recall putting soggy body parts into leaky post mortem bags and then leaving them on the dark grey deck in the Caribbean sun for a few a few days while we continued to patrol until we knew to whom we were going to deliver the groceries to. But I don't have any relevant documentation to prove it happened, so it looks like I'm full of it. It was real to me and to think about the smell when I was swabbing the deck afterward is something I won't forget and it brings back that burning sensation in my nostrils.

I'm likely a deeply sick and twisted man or just another INTJ waiting for some proof.

Yeah no idea why he said that, you'd think if it didn't happen he'd just tell me no, but he might have gotten a bunch of calls by then and maybe he wasn't working this weekend and he's freaked out so that's his fallback response.

Correct, usually takes a FOI request. Incident reports are public records, but it takes more than a phone call.

* Well, I slightly regret doing this, because I am a gun rights advocate and an NRA member and a Conservative to the right of the Tea Party.....but I called King5 News and gave them information about the "made up suicide" at West Coast Armory in Bellevue and the guy said he was forwarding the information to the investigators, but had already called the Bellevuw PD and confirmed that a shooting did take place but would not give details because they said it was still under investigation. I really sincerely hope it doesn't hurt the cause at all, but felt compelled to try to see that the story comes out due to all of the insulting BS from some of you. Don't tell me to take it easy unless you have to deal with your kids being messed up emotionally. Plus, the whole reason I took my Wife and Kids there for this class was because I believe in gun ownership and I didn't want them to be afraid of a gun in the house and wanted them to know how to use one safely.

How exactly did you know to join the forum yesterday to back up this "other" individual if you don't actually know the guy. You've got to admit that these three brand new profiles seem plausible to be the same person. Even have the same writing style.

I'd be more concerned that some pro-gun websites were involved in suppressing information about this incident at the behest of the range, or out of a misguided belief they were 'helping' the cause, than you calling the news.

You do realize the internet is filled with very ungentle people, right?

Regardless of whether it is true or not saying things like that will only make people even less likely to believe you or even care. I'm not trying to be rude but please just take a break from the computer for a day or two and cool down.

For those that think you need a FOIA to get info answered. I have done it many times with many different organizations. Seattle PD, Lakewood, Tacoma, Puyallup and now Bellvue.

They can give you information to a degree. They won't tell you all details, and that makes sense for many reasons. If you just ask if an incident occurred and ask for verification. I stated I was following up on a story about a suicide shooting that happened in Bellvue at WCA. She searched for suicides and didn't find anything. Then asked what road it was on. She couldn't find anything by address either.

I do not know if it could have been flagged in the system somehow to tell them not to give info or not. But she seemed genuine.
