Just thought I would bump the Wis forum with this report out of Middleton

http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/20...ped-for-open-carrying-in-middleton-wisconsin/

Forty-one minutes and three miles into the walk, I saw the SUV with the flat, narrow light bar slowing down and stopping as it approached me. I was only 100 yards from turning off of the busy roadway, and 300 yards from the end of my walk.

I knew what was going on. The lights came on and the vehicle stopped. As I approached the Dane County Sheriff’s vehicle, the deputy got out

Unfortunate it is that top cops mandate their beat cops engage a citizen when that beat cop knows there is no need to do so. A no win situation for the beat cop.

Exactly. The beat cop would rather listen to complaints from an armed, law abiding citizen than complaints from their boss.

About the only people that stop me and say; what do you think you are doing or is that legal are Minnesotans visiting Wisconsin. So far so good. Firearms can you answer one question: Who has the authority to allow Minnesotans to carry in Wisconsin? The Governor? The DOJ? The Feds? We cannot carry there because no reciprocity.

I think reciprocity was written into the enabling statue.

As long as MN was a communist governor and AG we well not get reciprocity with them.

And that just got worse.

Well, nothing will change on our side. It seems the people who are "pro" carry like the "permit" tax.

In my experience, many people like to brag about having a concealed carry license. They think it sets them apart and above the masses. They think it proves they are better than most others. In fact, it just shows they are willing to pay the government for something that should already be theirs.

True. You'll also see people claiming they have their guns "legally registered" when they live in one of the 40-something states with no form of gun registration at all.

It makes them feel extra law-abiding, somehow.
