I remember the good ol' days....
....when making stupid, pointless gestures was the exclusive province of dingbat, burned-out hippie liberals.
Recently, though, the pendulum has swung and now conservatives are the ones making themselves look like fools. That's exactly what this secession petition is: an irrational protest that has no practical purpose, it just allows the petitioner to feel like "I sure told them!" Anyone who takes these petitions seriously only betrays their own ignorance because if you want your state to secede, you don't petition the White House to "allow" it; it's all done at the state level.
Reading this thread stole 12 minutes of my life and I want them back!
