Look.... nobody broke the law. There was no negative media coverage. Everybody had a good time. If you don't like what some people did, then don't do those actions yourself, maybe say that their behavior is not something that you, personally, would do and let's just move on.

Um... though he did not state it was only his personal opinion I belive that is what Goose was doing until you began flaming him for it.

It is all really needed for some LEO to act these days? We should be careful how we present ourselves with our firearms. 2A Rally or not, no one should've been handling their firearms. 1245A Defender (BoB) posted WELL how we handled the guy who went to unsling and literally show him his gun. We must remain vigilant.

When I read this I dont see any cowardice... only caution. I do agree to err on the side of caution. If you dont agree with this then I am sure you will be on the forum as shot by LEO or someone else for being careless. SOmeone addressed holsters without retention, I thought it was a valid point as well. Though After someone explained that it was showing merchandise and was only a select few it wasnt so bothersome.

Then we should remove all pics of the long guns and should not have even discussed long gun behavior at the rally on THIS forum anyway!

I agree with this statement 100% even though I think you were being sarcastic. Leaving out those pictures would have not broken any forum rules, and this whole stupid flaming session would have never happened.

IMHO Goose needs to take a chill pill! Sounds like he was just stressed out already from other things in life and this was just the straw that broke the camels back... NavyLT your comments directed toward Goose though had a few valid points were definately spiteful and borderline personal attacks. I am not sure about anyone else but if someone is flaming me their point never gets across... Again being caution seems to be the word of the day.

"abstain from every appearance of evil."
1 Thessalonians 5:22 KJV The Holy Bible

I think NavyLT and Goose need to be forced into a small room and not let out untill they kiss and say they are sorry!

I am at a loss why many continue to add to something they are not apart of...

because, in your own words, it's a public forum. by posting in a public forum you invite the input of *anyone* who wishes to participate.

What really gets my goat about discussions like this is that when i started ocing back in 07 yes we had some members that were say louder on here than others but mostly everyone got along now it seems there are some key people who have because the recess teachers and seem to think that there personal opinion is law and what others say doesnt matter or is just plane wrong.

I find this type of behavior unacceptable in any case and we are suppose to be joined together for a common goal not who can talk trash about who. and yes there are members here i think need to have there head space checked but thats my opinion. not law.

So in the future for those of you who post allot can you please stop being mother hens and let the kids play at the pool?

We have had good people leave the forum for this same exact reasons since i have been on here. If someone PM's me then its just that a PRIVATE message not a way to get outed because you dont like what they have to say. The grammer nazi's and the people who scream OFF TOPIC need to go back to there own little sand box until they can learn to get along.

Why not just stop arguing? Some feel that if they don't like any "private" message they'll just make it public and the arguments continue on the Forum.

It takes ONE person to stop an argument. It the other continues then it's just a "rant".

I agree with Gray.

What I make public is the personal attacks and name calling. None of which I saw in Green is Faster's post.

I have received and have Private messaged "argument" or debates I didn't like and didn't make them public.

Is that an order Grey? or are you just proving my point about people lording over others with there law?

Read the forum rules on personal attacks, as this thread started delving into.

The forum is private property, as this is essentially John's house, and it is expected that his rules will be respected while posting here or using the PM system.

As sitewide forum moderator (which John appointed me to a whole ago), it isn't an order, but if one acts childish and doesn't follow the rules, then deletions of the offending material and reporting to the admins for suspension of an account is not beyond possibility.

You may make your own choices, but they do have consequences.

You can do what u want but keep in mind that i am as much apart of OCDO as everyone else on here second of all i didnt personally attack anyone on here in PM or otherwise.

And attempting to bully me with your title only proves my point about being lording over others... As i asked a question and did not personally attack anyone with a simple question i think maybe it would be in your best interest to stop using your position as a mod to make people do what you want. just some free advice and its not an attack.

I find this thread humorous, We are all up in arms about a 2nd amend issue yet you are trying to block my 1st amend rights.......

Now if you wish to continue this discussion in private your more than welcome 2 but your title will have no bearing on my responses.

have a happy and wonderful day.

Pssst! Just a reminder. 1st and 2nd amendments are only restrictions on Government, not private entities like the Forum Owners and their appointed minions.

Now if those "Forum Rules" were actually Laws passed by government, that might be a different animal or as some might say, "a horse of a different color"

If that is an issue then the effected party or parties would do well to send a PM to one of the Forum Owners expressing their concerns on the actions of those they have appointed. Just like filing a complaint with a Police Department.
