Can we attend court dates to show support as well? I'd like to do that and offer my donation in person. I look forward to road trips whenever possible... Just send me the courthouse address for my GPS and a date; I'm there!

Absolutely!

By the way, I've started to receive checks, thank you. the Citizens' Defense Rights Institute is now "street legal" as a corporate entity, and has a tax identification number; next step will be bank accounts, including a way to receive credit card donations. Thanks, again!

Will donations by any chance be tax deductible - wouldn't think so but had to ask.

Haven't seen anything else on this? Did it get moved somewhere else? If it is still an open case, I am looking to invest into the future of my 2A rights and others. Semper Fidelis!!

I've been working on a way to simplify acceptance of donations that does not involve Paypal, as I have some experience with that organization from prior professional endeavors, and I know I do not want to do business with them nor encourage anyone else to do so.

It is possible to send checks and I encourage anyone so inclined to do so. Send to Virginia Legal Defense, P.O. Box 100, Broad Run, VA 20137. Mark "HGreen" in the memo line so I'll know what it's for.

I've been working through issues regarding the legal status of "intentional tort" law as opposed to "negligence" law as it affects governmental entities and agents, who can be sued and for what. I think I've got that stuff figured out pretty well and I'm in the process of drafting the complaint, in this case as well as a couple of others. I'll be attempting a slightly creative theory of liability as to municipal governments based on 15.2-915 (unlawful enforcement of informal policies).

sticky?

Can we get a sticky on this thread? I would like to donate, as well keep an eye on this. As I am sure everybody else would.

Eventually, but not yet. I have to make application to the IRS for 501(c)(3) status, and there are some more hurdles to jump through before I can do that. Getting closer, though.
