In Pa is there a official no guns sign that a business must post if they do not want guns in their business? I only ask because I was at a business the other day and saw in fine print on a plaque on a wall away from the front door no guns or weapons allowed. I was already finished with my business and was leaving when I noticed the plaque. I have seen on front door's of hospitals and magistrates and federal buildings the( gun in a circle with a slash) I have seen the words on a plaque at movie theaters and casinos. If you did not see the sign and got caught carrying can you get in-trouble or just have to leave. :shocker:

Do “No Gun Signs” Have the Force of Law? - No...

“No Firearm” signs in Pennsylvania have no force of law unless they are posted on property that is specifically mentioned in State Law as being off limits to those with a Permit/License to Carry. If you are in a place not specifically mentioned in the law that is posted and they ask you to leave, you must leave. If you refuse to leave then you are breaking the law and can be charged. Even if the property is not posted and you are asked to leave you must leave. Always be aware of the possibility that responding Police Officers who may have been called without your knowledge and may not know the laws on trespass etc. could arrest you even if you are within the law.

I read the OP as a general question about all businesses in PA. Even still, he specified several different "businesses" in his original post as I highlight above for those who may have missed it.

"color of law" seemed to have no trouble providing useful data to answer the OP's question.

One should probably make a real attempt to read carefully for understanding before presuming to chastise another for failing to write clearly.

Not sure what the confusion is. That particular airport is by no means abnormal in that it hires many of its own workers, AND has contractors that do things from operate an airline to sell food, and those contractors will have their own employees working in the same building as the airport's employees. The airport itself could still be a public building.

And it is. Back in 2009, seven years ago, one of our members here was busted by the Allegheny County Police for OCing at PIT. When advised of the conflict between the county ordinance governing PIT and preemption, the County DA threw the whole thing out. Preemption applies, you can OC or CC at PIT even though the ordinance (back then/maybe still) was not amended to comply with state law.

Not that it's required, but it would probably put everyone at ease should someone overreact, it might be a good idea to carry your LTCF in your readily-accessible shirt pocket. Besides, you need your LTCF in order to get to the airport either by bus, cab or car.
