So, I had to go to Family Court in Scranton a few days ago; I have to go every other month or so, to deal with some bull$hit my ex brings up. I had no problems checking in, but when I went to retrieve my crap on my way out, this little Super Mario-looking deputy started in with the "You shouldn't be bringing that in here," crap. Rather, he began to, but I quickly cut him off.
"Man, don't start with that $hit."
That caught him off guard, and shut him up quickly. Another deputy stifled a laugh. I signed out, and left.
Today, at Basilica's Pizza in Dickson City, with my fiance (MollyMayhem on Pafoa.org), an older gentleman approached us while we were eating. "Your gun is showing," he warned.
"I know." Molly rolled her eyes, expecting him to start trouble, but he simply said, "Okay. Hey, is that a .45?"
"Yep."
"Nice." he shuffled off. I finished eating my fat Sicilian slices and garlic knots. A bit later, we walked around Dick's Sporting Goods, and were followed by what I assume was a Loss Prevention/Security guy, who tried really hard to be inconspicuous while clumsily following us. We left there, went to Toys'R'Us, which used to have No Guns signs, but now are no longer posted, curiously. I walked around, bought a backpack for my daughter, and some other school supplies. No one said a word to me.
