This morning the House State Affairs Committee listened to testimony for and against the Campus Concealed Carry Bill. The testimony took the entire scheduled meeting and will continue tomorrow morning at 7:45. They will continue with testimony and put it up for a vote, and continue with the rest of the docket. I missed the initial reading and testimony by Rep. Simpson but caught some good testimony for it by a wide range of individuals, who supported the bill with facts. The few who opposed the bill only brought emotion and fear and had no facts to support their views. I have a good feeling that this will get out of committee and be brought to the floor soon.
Now if we can get the Senate State Affairs Committee to bring S1126 (Permitless Carry) to the table and get that ball rolling. I urge everyone to keep in contact with their reps. and the reps. on these two committee's.
I would like to thank everyone who has made phone calls and sent emails.
Thank You
