I been walking with my wife opening carrying at night. Is that a good thing or bad thing? I spoke with a police officer and he told me that if i open carry im just goingto be hassled and wanted me to get a taser besides a gun. But i want to open carry. I feel better while im with my wife walking and she wants me to bring it. So what do i tell a cop when he stops me and ask why am i carrying a gun. Sometimes cops do lie and i dont want to be false arrested.So i want some feed back if yall can give me that.
I live in a apartment complex that is owned by eddie riecke. He owns half of covington. A St. tammany LEO lives on site. I asked the manager if i can open carry and he said no i cant because of the LEO lives here. Aint that a crock of crap or what?
Look guys. Im just new to this open carry business. Yeah i get it just walk around like you dont have a firearm on your hip. The lease doesnt say anything about weapons yes we can have them for home defense. I just want to hear what y'all would do. Im not acting scared and stuff. Im the type of person that learns from other peoples mistakes. So i dont have to make that same mistake. Im learning alot from yall. I read just about every forum. I have the guts to open carry now. Im just keeping a detailed record for yall just to tell yall my experience.right now im testing the waters with just the holster just to see on how people react. People look at me like im a LEO. I dont know why. Because probably im big. If i have a question i just want yall to answer it to the best of yall knowledge. Im trying not to be alone out there. I dont appriciate that dude telling me not to open carry. Im just knew to this stuff. Any feedback let me know.
i have been OCing on the rental property. i even did in front of the managers. but i didnt glance at them because i was going about my business checking my mail and visiting my best friend. Tonight was a bit busy with cars and stuff even my wife and i walked near the hospital and there was alot of people out there. I was looking out the corner of my eye and they were staring at us. But i didnt pay them no mind. I have been blessed OCing. The nervousnes is gone so is the butterflies in my stomach is gone to. I do carry a paper about 1 article section 11 in my pocket just in case a LEO wants to hassle or harrass me. But today i walked into butter crisp diner with the love of my life and we had donuts and some drinks. The waitress that was serving us was a bit nervous you can see it on her face but i gave her a tip. She was cool about it. The owner was their she was looking at the 9mm. But she was starting a conversation with us. But she is fine. But anyway i had a good day OCing. I thank yall guys for yall feedback and everything is fine and i will keep yall posted. Yall have helped me out. My wife know the laws about carrying too. Im going to get her this .22 she been wanting and she is going to do the same thing.
