I'm trying to find a link to share, but I have seen recent video of a gentlemen being trespassed from all Wal-Marts nationwide, including all Sams clubs by a local manager. I have reached out to him on Facebook to offer some assistance. I will see if he takes it. Out of the 6 cops there only 1 seemed to be a butt about it. He asked the guy "do you realize what you have done wrong?" Of course we know the OC'er did nothing wrong. But he was still harassed.

I tried to find a video that matched that description but was unable to. I have never been trespassed, though I had been in the past harassed by door greeters, and loss prevention(Walmart wannabe cops). I voiced my concern to corporate, and they have given their store managers the green light to "escalate" non compliance of receipt checking(using force).

This is unacceptable for my wife, and myself, we will no longer shop with them. Not sure what has changed their attitude but every body who values honest people being treated with respect should boycott Walmart. My final straw is when I saw a elderly black lady stopped at the Camaron Walmart on 87. She had a cart full of groceries, and they forcibly scanned every single item, and found NO unpaid for items. The lady was furious, all the employees should have been charged with kidnapping. But due to a loop in the law allowing store personal(civilians) to detain suspected shoplifters, but they must have probable cause. Walmart managers, and LP are claiming purchasing items, and not showing receipt or refusing scans is probable cause. Hopefully it ends up in court, and they are taught a lesson.

Zero...do you have a timeline, e.g. when this event occurred?

Why was the individual banned - caught stealling?

Research from different sites mentions WalMart bans those who get caught stealing from the store ~ Walmart doesn’t care if judicially adjudication or not.

Well until get clarification from the OP regarding the actual rationale & location, cuz KY doesn’t have anything out there, of the FB person being ban’d tis but hyperbole and anybody’s guess.

This is the banning of an open carrier at a Walmart in Lexington, Kentucky.

Right after Trayvon Martin I was told by Walmart in Vicksburg, Mississippi that they did not want me in there open carrying. They phoned someone and then went away and I never heard anything more about it. I have recently seen that the CEO of Walmart wants to re-visit the assault weapon's ban. So I suppose that I am no longer going to shop at Walmart. What do you open carrier's think?

I understand private property rights of businesses. They are, however, bound by the law and the Constitution. So we have their right to ban people from their property but there is also the 2nd Amendment and the 14th Amendment which say there are restrictions on that.

For years Walmart had a policy that said as long as federal, state, or local law didn't prohit a person carrying, that their policy was to allow what the law allowed. Maybe Walmart has changed that policy.

Here is Walmart Corporate's reply to my question of open carry in my specific case as related to the Kentucky case:

13678

I am seeing that they support the "swatting" of individual customers by Walmart employees or customers, at their wim. Once again, I say that there are 14th Amendment concerns here that open carriers should be concerned about.

HLB, As your response states “as a private property owner...”

As for violation of the 14th A...what provisions specifically or restrictions are you referring to?
