GREAT!!! But TX is a state without an open carry law? What the heck is up with that!

Come on - get on your legislators to reverse than brain fart.

There was a very well-organized push for it, but (to the best of my recollection) never came up for a vote, let alone was voted on.

Personally I'd rather see a graduated approach - reduce printing to a violation with a civil fine, then next legislative session remove the penalties altogether and make it fully legal, as it should be.

How about this one, for our poor, defenseless brothers and sisters in MD, who have been disarmed by their Constitution-ignoring government...

I like that. But do you think that they would issue that plate in Soviet Maryland? Maybe a Maryland plate reading: UNARMED

More MD plates:

HATES2A (self-explanitory)

DEFNSLS
(DEFeNSeLesS)

URSERFS
(yoU aRe SERFS)

HTSFRDM
(HaTeS FReeDoM)

DORART1 (Declaration of Rights, Article 1--look it up...)

DORART4 (Declaration of Rights, Article 4--look it up...)

http://www.msa.md.gov/msa/mdmanual/43const/html/00dec.html

NO 2A4U (No Second Amendment For You)

As for the one I posted above, I'm getting one made from a "custom license plate" company out of Florida. Since my vehicle is registered in NC, we don't have a front plate, and there is no statute in MD saying that an out-of-stater can't have a "novelty" plate made in the style of a MD plate on the front... :p

I'm also getting a NC-style plate for the front from the same company that says:

OPEN CARRY

I'll change them back and forth as my mood and travel dictates... ;)

I was following "LOK LOAD" on the PW Parkway the other day. Loved the "Got Ammo?" sticker.
I was the proud owner of CA(People's Socialist Republic of Kalifornia) License plate LCK[HAND]LOD. It was one of those plates where you could have a symbol anywhere in the sequence in place of a letter or number. I'll see if I can dig up a picture.
Here's a picture of the car after it was totalled in a crash with an uninsured driver

I finally received the "novelty plates" that I ordered from that company in FL. I got the MD plate mentioned above (and it looks GREAT), and a NC plate. Since we don't have "front plates" here in NC, I thought it would be cool to have as a "novelty"...

I also got a keychain version of this same plate, and it looks very nice.

I also picked up a set of custom air valve caps at the local auto parts store, that look like "44 Magnum" cartridges. Yeah, they're a little cheezy, but I thought they would be cool for putting on when I go to OC events, or any time I'm driving in MD...:celebrate

I think EVERYONE in NC that is on this forum should get one of these plates. They're only $20 + shipping, and they turned mine around in about one week. You can get them on this website:

Read it, and wish you were as cool as me...

With NC only issuing one state plate (rear) you can actually drive around with that one on front, right? I presume the state has no problem with a "look alike" plate. That makes it super cool.

Sure wish Va. would go to just a rear tag - save the state money - then we could be as cool as you. :)

Why would anyone want to advertise the possibility of guns in their vehicle?
Maybe for the same reasons they OC or have GSL magnets on their vehicles. :) ymmv

Suffice to say that it is prudent to not leave and unattended/unsecured gun in your vehicle.
