Took the boat to a Gonzales boat repair shop Friday. As soon as I entered the front door, a customer took a hard look at me and exclaimed "your the guy in the newspaper !!"
He told the shop owner all about it, told me his dad used to be a Gonzales judge, attorney, etc. While he and his dad agreed I was obeying the law, they didn't feel wearing a weapon in a store was such a good idea.
He kept asking questions, more so than usual. Asked me THREE times for my phone number, twice where I live.
When I went to leave, I walked past his truck. On the dash was a cap, embroidered "GONZALES POLICE." Not sure if he was a part time, full time cop, maybe just a friend of the cops...........too funny
