There will not be another extension at this phase of the trial absent some extremely good reason. The state knows that it has run out the clock as long as the court will allow for the filing of an answer. Delays like this are quite common in cases like this.

The state's time is up. Again.

If the game wasn't rigged in their favor they should just forfeit. I feel kind of bad for the person who has to write it, if they were an honest lawyer.

Just thought you might like to know, the State requested our attorney approve a 60-day extension. He has refused. We expect to hear from the court in a couple of days.

The criminals have asked for another extension. I hate them very much.

I think the theory here is that they just keep requesting "extensions" until everyone involved is either retired, dead or just gives up.

And to top it off, NONE of those clowns are ever held responsible for anything they do (or don't do). EVER.

The entire political process just makes me want to puke.

Times up. How long does it take a judge to say "Denied." In reference to them requesting another extention.

When they get denied the extention, whats next?

Also, is that unconservative conservative Bondi really that scared about people wanting to excercise their rights? Scott is good with open carry, what cant he just tell her to shove it and make her pitch us a softball so that we can knock the open carry ban out of the park?

You then get a trial on the date specified - opening statements - prosecution and defense present their cases - closing arguments.

The time frame for the decision may be an entirely separate matter.

I found precedent in other states of AG's refusing to defend certain laws. Scott doesn't really care.

It could be several years before the OC ban is officially approved by the courts. It doesn't really matter what the arguments in the case are, the decision has likely already been made. A lot of people are getting their hopes up, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if OC becomes a reality in FL anytime soon. The state gets more tyrannical every year.

Perhaps because she does not work for him.

Are there any consequences for the state's incompetence, dishonesty, and tardiness? They've been given a 4 day extension already, which is a reward from the kourt (sic).

State granted de facto 12 day (including labor day) extension by the kourt (sic) with apparently no disciplinary action.

Very thoughtful court system

Sure seems like the court is taking the high road and "Killing us with kindness".
