What pistol is a .38? I know of only revolvers in that caliber.

According to the report, "Pattie was intoxicated and began yelling and then pulled a .38-caliber pistol from his coat pocket and fired two rounds into a snow bank near the intersection of Jefferson Ave. and 1st Ave."

So carrying conceals and drunk?

In fairness, it should be noted that when the friend told Pattie to knock it off and leave the snow bank alone, he did. Plus, it seems quite possible that Pattie was only trying to wound the snow bank when he shot it shortly before 3 a.m. on Dec. 12.

Shoot to wound? WTF?

Pattie eventually ended up pulling his gun on the friend who had tried to help him earlier.
WTF?
Pattie, as a result of everything, has been charged with reckless endangerment, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and disorderly conduct.
Good! But is the DC because of the totality of the circumstances?

I guess I'm going to have to be very careful of what I do. I've been shooting into the snowbanks in my driveway for years. In fact, my driveway becomes my temporary shooting range. In the spring, when the snow melts, I just pick up the slugs, put them in my bullet bucket and eventually cast the lead back into new bullets. The perfect setup.

Snowballs make good targets, too. In some years, I've even made snowmen to shoot at. Oh boy, look at Frosty go. Meteorodegradable targets!

Lots of pistols are .38

Technically any gun designed to be fired with one hand is a pistol. To consider only semi-autos "pistols" is a common, but incorrect usage of the word.

But if you wanted an example of a semi-auto pistol in that is .38 caliber, try the .38 Super. Or for that matter, anything that shoots .380 auto.

Can someone post a chart for calculating the totality of the circumstances please? Or do you guys use an on-line calculator or something?

Thanks in advance.

In the field, I use PwrReg (Power Regression) on my TI-84+SE. At home I usually opt for the Add Trendline (Power Regression) feature of MS Excel.

Both give excellent results when the correct data is used, i.e. there is an direct correlation between LE abuse of power and the non-criminal actions of LAC, especially in Madison.

it is a software, but only accessible through Chief Wray's computer in Madistan, and the networked cruisers, I believe he does also have an iPhone APP for the "Totality of circumstances" spreadsheet for police issue smartphones when they are away from the car-puter. it is on blue tooth!

Gosh, and I was worried... My math skills are a tad weak and these tools for totaling the Totality of Circumstances will be very helpful indeed... Thanks guys...

I have an 50 caliber pistol? Black powder. I thought it was a pistol! Would make a great concealed carry.
I suppose the ram rod would have to be cut in half as it could load too many rounds at an great speed!!!!!!!

totality of circumstances is calculated in the following manner: What actually happened, less what you claim happened, to lie your way out of wrong doing, divided by how believable the line of crap used to claim what happened is. the value usually is less than zero. aint that right chief knobby?
