I cringed listening to myself talk, I had no idea that I said "um" that many times. That was truly a frustrating day.

Yeah man, that was a little rough.
Public speaking is one that takes some practice, especially in such adversarial circumstances.

im no public speaker myself, but i must um agree um with you now.
you had all those notes, all arranged, in order, but then you seem to have just Winged it!
i listened with care, but im afraid that i really have very little idea of what you said.
next time, practice your spiel on your friends, Alot!
and speak Loud, project! folks wont even try to listen and understand,
unless you convince them, with your presence, that this is important stuff!

i do appreciate your standing up and representing our 2A right, you done good!

Sorry to hear the sad story of the old fella with dead stepchildren

A very heartfelt sadness came over me when the old fella got up and told us his sad tale of being against open carry because his stepchildren were gunned down in the middle of a home burglary ...I would obviously ask one serious question " Was anyone in the house armed" because If that would have been the case then the burglar would be deceased and the stepchildren would still be around. This is one of our major reasons we choose to be "Armed Citizens" and not become another statistic of the criminal element. Did they ever catch the killer ? He didn't elaborate
