my bad guys about the way I may have come off to some of you...maybe I was a little bit of a *******... work has been crazy, I hope you guys get your gun rights..

I welcome this change of attitude and also welcome you to the forum. It takes a big man to make peace.

Bear in mind that the influx of CC and HG users is, IMO, coming from both informed citizens who realize that LEOs are minutes away and the crime may be happening now, AND there are a lot of Babyboomers who, having lost a step upon reaching 60+, want to maintain their feeling of safety and control. These mature, wise folks are an asset to all. They are not looking to cause trouble for anyone.

How so?

Perhaps you could explain to us how the presence of a lawfully possessed firearm is relevant, at all, to the activities surrounding a stop for a traffic infraction?
Dude, it is totally your call whether you tell them or not. You advocate not telling them and I advocate letting them know. I'm damn near 50 years old and I haven't gotten a ticket since I was 16. God knows I've been pulled a few times and prob deserved one. I'm able to develop a rapport with the officer by simple conversation and letting them know I'm carrying is just one avenue to that concept.

I give it to you that we will never agree on this issue but hopefully others reading these post will make decisions in their given situations that works out best for them. I just offer MHO's and I think mine are clear as whether it is in your best interest to tell or not to tell.. Your call. If the cops never have to wonder then maybe in the future they won't push for a change in law that requires it. Like I said in a previous post, I travel to NC a lot and there it is required. It is simply easier for me to do it in both states so I don't forget to do it up there.

Cool? Lets go SB234. Keep the emails flowing.. :)
