I'm going to have to find the text of the bill. I thought the one that was circulating last year was pretty anemic. Not only that but we should push for "stand your ground" type legislation that doesn't only protect people who use self defense in their homes.

+1 to Castle Doctrine - that extends into your vehicle

Actually the bill said that it was not legal to shoot at any intruder that identified themselves as law enforcement...Bull$hit!
1) Although many criminals are morons...it doesn't take that many brain cells to come up with the idea that .."hey! If I shout police before breaking into this house...they cant shoot at us!"
2) I know that I am a law abiding citizen and that there is no reason for any law enforcement to be forcibly entering my home...and therefore I will assume that any person attempting to force entry into my home will be treated as my previously stated case #1.

oh, crap....I was wearing my headphones.....Honstly , I never heard them ID themselves. the music was too loud, I just seen some guys dressed in Black kick my door in, I reacted to defend my self. I thought they were gonna kill me.
If I ever win the lottery, my home will be built like NORAD . all high density, rebar concrete 3 foot thick walls, steel blast doors, just think Bomb shelter / bunker mostly covered with earth. Fuhrer bunker ---lol, with a 200 yard kill zone in all directions..oh yeah..I want a moat..lol
No Law enforcement agency would be able to penetrate it, unless I allowed them entry.

2 football fields would do me fine. the moat would slow them down..lol.. then the 6 foot high Razor wire tangle on my side of the moat would slow em down even more & then if they still get past the battery of Miniguns & Ma Duece 50's... If I think I am going to get overran by zombies my Huey would be on the helo pad waiting to wisk me away..... I love dreaming.
