I have to disagree with you on this one BIG TIME. How is this movie possibly anti gun? Because he used a giant 4x4 piece of timber to kick ass at the crooked casino? What would you have him do, walk in with his daddy's rifle and just murder everyone in cold blood who were unarmed? If it was anti gun he would have beaten all the bad guys with his 4x4 that he whittled into a bat during the ENTIRE movie and only the bad guys would have guns but no, when it came down to it he pulled out his shotgun and went to town killin bad guys left and right. So did his deputy, while DEFENDING the Rocks home and family. AS WELL as the father who didn't like guns but still dropped the boom down on a bad guy in order to protect his family. Maybe you have a misinformed idea of what an anti-gun movie entails but Walking Tall certainly shouldnt be among your list. In fact I would say that it should be in a PRO-gun movie list. It illustrates the power that the armed citizen has to stand up against a government and police force that has run amock and is dirty. Furthermore, it illustrates that you may not LIKE guns but it shows the necessity of having them in order to protect your family as illustrated by the Rocks father.
If you still think Standing Tall should be on your list maybe you should watch it again...or for the first time in case you just caught the trailer of it and extrapalated misinformation.
Anti-gun movie: Charlie's Angels - Only the bad guys have guns and the "angels" beat them all with their kung fu and by turning the bad guys evil weapons against them.
