LOL Glock, Kimber and EEA purposefully design firearms that are not able to fire standard ammo, no liability there at all.
ROTFLMAO the average guy will shoot enough to wear a firearm out.
All 10 mm ammo is about the same as 40 S&W, if you believe that you are truly stupid, sorry but I do not know any other way to say that.
10 mm has so much recoil that it is hard to handle, only real men can take recoil on that level. Any real men up for the challenge of, wait for it, full power 10 mm loads? Remember only a real man can take that kind of recoil so only real men need purchase a 10 mm. Don't ever claim we did not warn you. You can take your buddy out shooting and show him how a real man can handle the severe recoil from a 10 mm if you buy one today.
HAHAH! Yeah I'm not sure what to say to someone who thinks .40 = 10mm. Maybe in crappy factory 10mm loads...but that just ignorant.
My .40 is my "little gun." Haha. I don't think I would personally ever shoot anything weaker than a .40, or smaller than my P229. I just put together a .460 Rowland and love it so much that I want more out of my daily carry. I will shoot Underwood Ammo exclusively through my Rowland and my 10mm until I acquire handloading equipment. From my research Underwood is the next best thing. I've been saving all my .460 brass and plan on doing the same for the 10mm. I wish Underwood would sell hot loaded HST rounds in 10mm.
I personally love recoil. I love overbuilt machines. I don't like the thought of needing more muscle and not having it. Struggling is no fun. I like overpowering targets.
I was soooo close to buying a 10mm before I got my Rowland. Down to a coinflip on a gunbroker auction (a certain other poster can attest to this) but the price just wasn't right on a S&W 1006. After I got sick of having my heart broken on the 1006/1026 I decided on the Rowland. I wish I could carry it daily but it's just way too much gun to use for SD in the city. I don't feel comfortable carrying it in town. Too much penetration. I'll carry it occasionally at night in higher stress situations, but that's rare.
I honestly have always been against owning a Glock. I've never been a fan of their design or how they look. Never been a huge fan of striker fired guns either. If Sig made a 10mm that's what I would own. I've heard rumors of a P220 10mm coming out soon, but I can't wait and honestly I think the Glock 20 is the only Glock I would ever own. And now I do Seems like a must-have no-brainer pistol to me. I'm also going to pick up a Lone Wolf barrel and a 9x25 Dillon conversion barrel.
The .40 with 165gr HSTs is just magnificent. Almost perfect for self defense IMO. But the 155gr 10mm XTP I think with give me exactly what I want. If I were to handload my SD rounds, I'd go with a hot loaded 180gr HST bullet I think. That would be brutal. As far as woods carry, obviously that's the function of the Rowland, but I'd still be comfortable with a 10mm.
Turns out the missus has fallen in love with the CZ75D Compact 9mm, so that'll likely be the next addition to the family.
