We've praised him in the past, and he has supported our 2A efforts.
Now, perhaps we can return the favor.
From the James River Journal:
Press release: York County, VA- Earlier in the week, the York County Board of Supervisors were presented options for significantly reducing the FY2013 budget. The Sheriff’s Office reduction was $825,000 which equates to a reduction of 12 deputy sheriffs. It was the largest reduction for any organization other than schools.
Sheriff Diggs has serious concerns that the loss of 12 deputy sheriffs will significantly reduce both the safety of our citizens and the remaining deputies. It is very important for citizens to contact the Board of Supervisors and express their concerns.
The Sheriff encourages York County citizens to contact the BOS by email or by phone to express their concerns and ask the Board to reconsider the proposed reduction in deputy sheriffs so that we can keep our community safe.
Citizens can call the Budget Hotline at 890-3220, attend the budget hearing on March 22,
