McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes. Friends marvel at McCain's encyclopedic knowledge of sports. He's an avid fan - Ted Williams is his hero - but he can't raise his arm above his shoulder to throw a baseball.

like him or not...wounds he obtained for his country keep him from doing many things people take for granted.

If John McCain's war injuries keep him from using a computer, it serves him right, and is his own darn fault, since he has repeatedly voted AGAINST funding for VA health care. McCain gets a 20% rating on a 0-100 scale from the DAV, disabled american Veterans, which is a completely non-partisan service organization.

During a March 2005 Senate budget debate, McCain voted to kill an amendment that would have "increase[d] veterans medical care by $2.8 billion in 2006." That amendment lacked an assured funding stream, but lest one mistake this incident for a maverick's stance against budget-busting, there's more. Just a year later McCain voted against an amendment that would have "increase[d] Veterans medical services funding by $1.5 billion in FY 2007 to be paid for by closing corporate tax loopholes." Two days after it failed, he voted to kill "an assured stream of funding for veterans' health care that [would] take into account the annual changes in the veterans' population and inflation to be paid for by restoring the pre-2001 top rate for income over $1 million, closing corporate tax loopholes and delaying tax cuts for the wealthy." That amendment died quietly, forty-six to fifty-four.

His voting record is as follows:
April 2003 — he voted against $1 billion for the National Guard and reserve equipment.
October 2003 — he voted against a bill for safety equipment in Iraq. That would up-armor vehicles and state-of-the-art body armor.
March 2006 — he voted against a bill that would have closed corporate tax loopholes which would have provided $1.5 billion for veterans medical benefits
April 2006 — he voted against $430 million for veterans outpatient medical care.
May 2006 — he did not vote for a bill that would have redeployed troops from Iraq, giving them additional tours of duty..
Sept 2007 — McCain voted against Sen. Webb’s bipartisan amendment that would have provided additional rest periods for the troops between deployments.
May 2008 — he spoke out against Sen. Webb’s GI Bill that would increase education benefits for returning troops.

The guy was a jet fighter pilot. He navigated the cockpit of the fighter while landing and taking off from an aircraft carrier. This is fairly complicated stuff. My guess is that it is not because he can't navigate the Internet he just doesn't want to.
