It means you don't just give us blink links (even with a subject line). You tell us what we are expecting to find, and WHY you think it is worth talking about.
It is polite. And acronyms aren't not. She even clearly made it so with all-capital letters and the extra periods. And you link an "urban dictionary" where it is used as a word in the hood.
